Hi Jens, Wow, the C-74 and the Tudor both look fabulous. You are making such a beautiful range of aircraft. One "gap" after the other is gettting filled up thanks to you. Cheers, Maarten

I'm curious so many people say they have been longing for a Hermes as there has been a good one on AVSIM and Flightsim.com for many years. Ostensibly for FS2002 it looks just as good in FS2004 and I created a FDE update for it for FS2004 which is also freely available. It is one of my favourites.
I particularly like the hostess in the cockpit serving the Captain his lunch (I'm still waiting!) in that old model.
I'm not saying that Jens' work will not be better as it will doubtless encompass many features that weren't available then, and look forward to its arrival.
John

These look excellent, Jens, and I'd like to thank you in advance for continuing to support FS2004 with such planes. They're always such a high standard.
Cheers, Mike

Just downloading (#7) the Hermes from Avsim.com. What a beauty. Can't wait flying her, but need to install her first. (piece of cake) A big thank-you to Jens, master of flightsim arts. Cheers, Maarten P.S. The Hermes flies great too. Just turned a circuit from/to Heathrow 1960s.

I just downloaded the Hermes and took her out for a test flight from SeaTac to Vancouver and she flies beautifully. Thanks Jens for another great aircraft. I want to thank you Jens for all your aircraft. My first sim was FS2000 which I flew on for four years (I skipped FS2002). I didn't learn about addons until after I'd flown FS2004 for about a year. I discovered Avsim an Flightsim but I couldn't install any of the aircraft because I was completely computer illiterate and didn't know the first thing about folders. Even though most files tell you how to install them, they might as well have been in Chaldean for all the difference it made. It was your and Tom Gibson's .exe files that made it possible to get started. Your DC-4 v.10 was my first propliner (aside from the default DC-3) and I've been hooked ever since. I like to fly to and around Africa a lot and your aircraft make that a lot easier. Aircraft like the Atalanta, the DC-4, and the Argonaut to name a few. The Hermes makes it possible to fly some of those flights that I haven't been able to fly before. Thanks again Jens for all your contributions and thanks for your continued support of FS9.

I like to fly to and around Africa a lot Take care over the desert, and don't misread the compass, lose your way and run out of fuel . . . John

Thanks for that great link. Sounds like a good plot for a movie. Even with FS, it can be challenging to fly over parts of Africa, due to the scarcity of navaids. If you use vintage navigation techniques and avoid the GPS, you get a little taste of what it must have been like for pilots in those days.

Hermes, Tudors, Globemaster I, you are really closing the gaps, Jens! That should get a wave of repaints rolling. And what with the C-74 already textured, dare I say it, can a C-124 be far behind? Nudge nudge & pretty please?
