My Convair 240/340/440s have developed a strange disease. Startup is normal. However, once you advance the throttles to about 25" the left engine/throttle starts jumping about 3-5 " . Upon retarding the throttles to idle, the left engine goes to full power and will not let you reduce power. This is in my 'modern' world. Silver Wings is working okay. This happened about a month ago and I copied all the folders from one to the other. However, now it is starting again This is with the latest panel.

The only thing I know about that causes that behavior was an old reverse pitch gauge, since replaced in the latest download. Since you have the latest download, I don't know what could be wrong. The only thing I can recommend is to download and install it again...

I think I would also check the register to make sure an old file is not in there messing things up. There are several good register cleaners on the internet.

Okay- I reloaded the panels (again) and it seems to have cleared up the problem. I will scream if it occurs again ;D ;D

Hi,
The gauge is REVERSE.xml in the FS2004/Gauges/cv340 folder. The modified date I have is 5/26/2007 at 7:57 pm.
If that is your gauge date then it must be something else, since I haven't had that problem in over a year. Check the calibration of your throttle? If that's OK, I'm guessing you have some kind of addon that affects the throttle in your modern installation (and not in your Silver Wings installation) and is interacting with the Convair gauges in an odd way?
