... Here's a small 'experiment' I just tried - the D-GHHH Hastings altered for AI (as in the Berlin Airlift package), but with the proper D-GHHH textures at Gatow: Just the early stages of something, I guess... ... sorry to hear (or read) you're a bit suspicious about those beautiful sceneries of yours, John. It seems such a shame... However, I could try to whip up some basic alts for some of the early 60s 'foreign' RAF bases this weekend, as soon as I've done some necessary chores around the house... As I said earlier, my Singapore sceneries are a little fussy, they need testing against other mesh and landclass (I run them in a "Silver Wings" environment); and a few objects assume intallation, for example, of some USN airship stations, which are not necessarily out of period (some lasted to the 1990s I think) but are additional to the usual libraries.
One day I need a slab of time to get into designing custom objects, so they rely only on available libraries.
I am working on Aden as of last night. I am thinking along the lines of uploading some stuff to a little web space I have and posting a link here if anyone wants to play with the results.
If they are not what people want, then there may still be stuff to use as a basis for some skilled contributuions of custom objects or whatever.
I see UKMil is still moving house. Any ideas of the length of this process? It may help me control my drooling over some of those AI models!
Okami - our posts crossed. I am happy to make what I've done available for review and testing on other setups. You never know, it may turn out that they are more flexible than I thought. My main concern is Changi, which is expansive and has plenty of scope to not fit. Tengah and Aden shouldn't have any big issues.

Hey John, I was working on Aden 1957...lost time and interest...Wolfgang did quite a bit for it...landclassed the area, made a bare bones BP refinery and Wolfgang improved the AFCAD...interested in seeing it? very much a work in progress.(still after about a year.. ..)

Jason - thanks, I have PM'd you. I hope to make some leeway on the weekend (which is now only half a work-day away, here). Despite good intentions I have not yet had much time to look at making custom objects, but I have been getting by with AFCAD, EZ Landclass and Instant Scenery. I'll check back in here when I've done a day or two's work and see if anyone wants to check out the results. If there's more than a couple interested, I'll put some stuff on my webspace for a short time so you can try it out. And if folks like it then I guess it gets uploaded!

If anyone is "creating" Bruggen/Wildenrath etc. I have just finished AI plans for BUA for a week in August 67 based on actual arrivals/departures at EGKK which include all the BAC1-11 trooping charters to/from Germany. I'm also working on "representative" plans for long-haul RAF Transport Command [ or was it Air Support Command by then ?! ] for around the same period - I've done the VC10 and Britannia ones, just the Comet and Belfast ones to do.
Will be happy to incorporate these into any military packages.
Richard.

Some other period Military scenery, namely RAF Greenham Common and RAF Colerne are available here: www.shepsshed.com/bits.htm Colerne is available with simple AI Hastings. Greenham Common screenie shows a B-47, although I've not downloaded it yet to check. As I've mentioned before, there's also a 1955 RAF Manston available at the usual places.

Thanks for those scenery leads - I am looking through "Shep's Shed" now. It's apparently for the UK VFR photoscenery but that's never stopped me trying stuff! I see it used some Ted Andrews libraries, which I am already playing with, a great resource for old Commonwealth airfields.

Hey John,
No trouble at all, I'd say. If there's an airport that doesn't 'fit', there could always be a Ground2K or exclude-file written for it. (still need to brush up on my Ground2K-skills, though)
I've been tinkering around with some basic afcad files for Luqa and Gibraltar - just added in some parking spots, I have to say, so the bases have a military side added (and, in the case of Gibraltar, a civilian side as well)
I've also been tinkering around with some traffic files for Belgian Air Force (transport) traffic - might try the same for the Danish Air Force after this - , and of course, Harry already included some Dutch military traffic in his Schiphol (C-47 & Fokker F-27) and Rotterdam sceneries (Neptunes at Valkenburg), as well as in two separate files (T-33 & F-84F traffic for the RNlAF)
I'va also been thinking about your suggestion, Richard: aren't the Belfast, 1-11 and VC-10 a bit outside the scope of the site? IIRC, the Belfast and VC-10 only entered RAF-service somewhere around 65-66...

Hi, Richard runs his sim in 1967. I state the site is interested in the classic era up to the mid 70's, so talking about them is just fine with me.

... Maybe something for a CA67/CA70 traffic layer? I mean, it would open some new perspectives (still the DC-3s to Constellations, but also 'new' types like the 1-11, VC-10, 737, 747, DC-9 and - as prototypes - Concorde and Concordski... )
