Hello, No, the kraken has not taken me to the grimey depths of Davey Jones Locker I am very busy with real life, as Tom said. I am finishing my Junior year of university (with all A's!) and I am working full time to support myself. I also have some other projects on my plate that take up much of my time. I dream that this summer I will be able to finally return to my commitments here! Heathrow will be barren no more, just have patience...

Okay, back to work it seems... With this quarantine hiding us all in our homes, I have finally had some real time to dedicate back to these projects. Before I update you on what's coming, a quick update on real life matters... Over the last year since I posted in this thread, I have - Become engaged - Moved in with said partner (having moved three other times before because various apartment situations didn't work out) - Finished my second to last semester at college (next is my last, graduation soon!) - Spent a lot of time working on repaints for RetroAI and a couple other projects I burnt myself out on wanting to do 3D work a few years ago, and have since tried several times to get back into it but only now has it worked. The next project on the docket is a new version of Boston, 1958 and 1962/3. Immediately after I will be finishing up Heathrow and have it out. After that, I'd like to spend some time updating my older sceneries (especially New York JFK/Idlewild, to address performance issues with the airport). The new Boston is nearly ready to go, here is a teaser shot to whet your appetite. Many many many improvements (visually and under the hood) to the original version I made some 7 years ago. Enjoy and you'll be hearing from me a lot more in the near future...

Congratulations Chris on all of the accomplishments and landmarks in your life!
I'm looking forward to Boston and especially Heathrow, something that has been needed for a long time.
Take care,

This is good news. I know how real life can bring our hobbies to an absolute halt. I hope to begin "flying" again at some point now that I am home most of the time (even before the current pandemic).
I was recently examining the depths of my PC and found all the files for my KCMH project that I had nearly completed. If memory serves me correctly, I only had some details to add. If anyone wants the base files to continue work or put your own spin on it, just send me a message and I will email them to you. I have added a few more kids and a new trip through college, so I won't be getting back in anytime soon.

Congrats Chris!
That screenshot looks lovely.
Having moved onto P3DV4.5, I mourn the past Calclassic sceneries, and any yet to be created. At least I have the key Calclassic aircraft I can't live without, and those are tireless workhorses in my hangar that I prize very highly.
All that said, there's a few sceneries I really, truly miss, and perhaps after a "classic" military AI project I have on the go is wrapped up, I might try my hand at conversion to P3D.
I say this because I was a huge fan of your FS9 work from way back, so while I mightn't be able to indulge in your upcoming offerings, I remain grateful for some very happy memories your sceneries brought in FS9/X.
Thanks again for all the work you've given the community - I vicariously enjoy them through the joy the FS9ers are able to take from them.
Congrats again on all the big and upcoming life steps.
Daniel

Thanks all for the very kind words. Encouragement like that is what keeps me coming back to this community (even if it takes me a while!) Just wanted to issue a small update: Boston is ready! I just sent it to AVSIM after a lengthy testing and evaluation period by myself, Bill, and Tom. You should be able to download it tomorrow, and of course I will link it here when it goes live. Chris

Many thanks, Chris. Very fine and worth waiting for. I must find an excuse to fly there.

Thank you for this Chris, and also the sky textures. They look really great ! If you've read my post over at Classic Chat you'll know I'm having computer issues at the moment Though I can't install your stuff right now, they'll be the first ones I do when I'm back. Stay healthy, Mike
