What If....Douglas X-3 Stiletto for the US NAVY

A while ago I made this repaint for my own pleasure just to see how it would turn out.



It is the High Speed Experimental Douglas X-3 Stiletto.


Made for FS9 by well known designer Kazunori Ito it is normally presented in the standard X-planes white livery of the 50's.



But looking around on the internet I came across this little picture:
     
and thought - that is a great looking finish !




The artwork on that little picture inspired me to try it out on Mr. Ito's creation.
I know that not everybody appreciates a "what if" repaint but here goes anyway

Nice work, always though that plane was a cross between an F-4, F-104, with a little XF-107 thrown in for good measure!
