Also, where can I find white Golden Falcon Eastern airline livery for DC-6B, please??
Thanks for any help any of you might offer.
I have been for about 3 years member of HJG Historic Jet Group forums and I have logged 91 hours with Buffalo Airways virtual. I like to look for liveries for airlines of Israel, Caribbean, Canada, and Alaska. Thanks.
Regards,
Aharon

A Golden Falcon DC-6B probably doesn't exist since Eastern never bought any, although they leased a few (7). DARN That might explain why nobody paints Eastern livery on DC-6B!!!! I guess famous Peter Lindell will do it in future. I do have the EAL L-1049C and L-1049G, along with the Alaska DC-4. Send me an email and I'll send them to you. That would be much gratefully appreciated and I am sending you email at this moment. I will have to figure out how to install L-1049C and L-1049G from official download center of CalClassics. LOL Unless there is already complete model base package on avsim or flightsim that I can use to download for your EAL liveries. Those repaints are from Frank, but he doesn't release them on the web. I don't have the El Al L-149, sorry. Guess I will have to email Frank to ask him for that EL AL L-149. I am Israeli and this livery is AMAZING which is must for my FSX fleet. Smiling. Once again, thanks a zillion for your kind assistance and I am sending you email now for your kind offer to send me the EAL L-1049C and L-1049G, along with the Alaska DC-4. One question, please about history of Caribbean commercial aviation regarding the use of planes in your official CalClassics download center. I have Trans Caribbean liveries for DC-4 and DC-6 or DC-7. Would you know if there are any locally Caribbean based airlines that used DC-4s, DC-6s, DC-7s, and C-46s, please so that when I have airline names, I can search avsim or flightsim or internet for liveries to download, please? Thanks, Aharon

Shalom Aharon,
Frank's EL AL livery has been included in the FS2004/FSX Lockheed L-149 Constellation package by Volker Böhme, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne and Stefan Werner. Available at FlightSim.com (lockheed_l-149_v1_0.zip).
I'm not quite sure but you also might need the FS2004/FSX Lockheed L-49 Constellation package by the same team, also available at Flightsim.com (lockheed_l-49_V1_0.zip).
Cheers, Maarten

Hi, Liveries sent to Aharon. Thanks to Al Pingel for the El Al livery, in case it's different from the one included with the model.

Tom, Many many many thanks to you (Tom) for all the livery texture files that you emailed to me!!!! It is much appreciated with such grateful thanks!!! Also thanks to Al Pignel for the same EL AL livery that he sent to Tom to be forwarded to me. Moreover, thanks to Marteen for telling me which model base that I should apply the EL AL livery to. In addition, many thanks to Tom for answering my question about history of Caribbean commercial aviation regarding the use of DC-4, DC-6, DC-7s. and C-46s. Alaska livery is easy to install into DC-4 model base. Now I am working to merge EL AL livery with FS2004/FSX Lockheed L-149 Constellation package by Volker Böhme, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne and Stefan Werner. Then I am going to look at Calclassics' official download center to figure out which model bases I should download for use of two Eastern airline liveries for two different Constellation models for use of FSX with SP1 and SP2. Hope I can figure out Once again, many thanks to all of you for kind help. Regards, Aharon

Had a look for the l-149 zip file on FlightSim without success. Is it available anywhere else? Would also like the ElAl livery.

John,
Use Volker Böhme OR Lockheed L-149 Constellation as keyword search in flightsim website and presto you will see l-149 zip file as one of search results.

Aharon

Hi,
Also, the EAL L-1049C uses the L-1049H model. It's part of the file name.
Hope this helps,

Hello JWH,
I typed down L-149 in the "search for tekst" box and it popped up immediately:

I hope this helps.

Hi Aharon, From about 1957 till 1962 KLM West Indies Division operated with five or six PJ-registrated Douglas DC-6's from Willemstad (Curacao) to Caracas, Paramaribo, Havana, Miami and New York-Idlewild. I made repaints featuring two of these aircraft. You will find them on FlightSim.com as "FS2004 KLM Douglas DC-6" (klmdc6.zip) and "FSX KLM Douglas DC-6" (klmdc6x.zip). You will require Jens B. Kristensen's FS2004 Douglas DC-6 (dc6_v20.zip) resp. FSX Douglas DC-6 (dc6_v20x.zip), also available at FlightSim.com, to make the repaints work. Cheers, Maarten

Maarteen,
Thanks for your kind post showing me your KLM repaints for Caribbean service. I was actually looking for local based Caribbean airlines using CalClassics' C-46s, DC-4s, DC-6s, and DC-7s as well as KBT's Electras (no offense to any of you). I know that ALM airline (not to be confused with KLM) operated Electras and I know that Cayman Airways operated DC-6Bs. It seems to me that BWIA did not operate any American propeller planes and they used only British propeller planes unless any of you tell me I am mistaken about my theory.
I am looking for more airlines that were locally based in Caribbean using specific planes mentioned above. I know about all American based airlines flying from America into Caribbean as I am also member of Virtual Eastern airline owned and operated by Peter Lindell.
Meanwhile, thanks to Tom and you (Maarteen), I finished installing Alaska livery on DC-4 and I finished installing EL AL livery along with FS2004/FSX Lockheed L-149 Constellation package by Volker Böhme, Luis Pallas, Bill Tyne and Stefan Werner.
Now I am trying to make heads and tails out looking for all necessary files to install model bases of L-1049C and L-1049G so that I can install Eastern liveries that Tom had sent to me. Seems to me that there are quite few files including important updates so I need time to look for files in flightsim for both L-1049C and L-1049G model bases. Can be quite difficult for me even though I am well seasoned and experience in installing many freeware and payware add-ons into my FSX with SP1 and SP2.
Regards,
Aharon
