I used to hate that message and today I've heard it half a dozen times, somehow it has got back in, may be John Hinson can help, do you John or anybody know how to get rid of it please? I don't know how to get rid of it altogether, but if you have EditVoicePack installed it should reduce it to minimal amounts. It achieves this by adding several "blank" versions of the message, which will be randomly selected. You will then only actually hear it about once in three times. If you have a sharp ear you my notice the silent ones by hearing some background chatter. If you have EVP installed this should be set up by default, but if you don't think it is happening, check under "Standard Mods/Phraseology/FAA or ICAO" that the silent entries for TWR_AC_EXIT_RUNWAY are all ticked. Hope this helps. John

I was hoping it was gone, I got 'Exit runway when able' today, the other one was 'Vacate runway when able' The annoying thing is the ATC says it as the aircraft brakes to a taxi speed or just when it's about to turn off anyway.
I think the 'VACATE' was added as an improvemet for the 'EXIT' I looked more in to the files and if I read it right that's what it is. So getting rid of 'VACATE runway when able' just brought the 'EXIT runway when able' back again.

Hi Col,
If you are using FAA Phraseology, there should be two TWR_AC_EXIT_RWY entries - both of these are blank ones and thus change the usage (if ticked) to once in three (on average).
If you are using ICAO Phraseology there should be three entries - two blank ones and the "Vacate runway" variation. It doesn't matter whether you have the latter ticked or not, but use of the blank ones again will reduces the frequency of use by a third.
If you don't have all these entries you probably need to download the automatic updates by following Help > Online Update. You cannot modify or delete entries in this section so you should have the same entries as me.
As I said, this will never get rid of it altogether but it should reduce it to a far less annoying level.
Best wishes,
John

No worries, Col - I just reckon if I can get it to work, you should be able to do so too!
Looking closer at the EVP listing - if you are using the ICAO phraseology, do try it without the "Vacate" one ticked. I don't have it ticked on mine but I notice if you do it shows a "duplicate entry" error (coloured red) unless you untick one of the blank options. I think maybe it is configured to over-ride other options, there is certainly something slightly odd about the way it is set up. Definitely worth trying without it.
