Did some searching for vintage pics of Caracas's Maiquetia Airport on the Net tonight and found a small selection which I've uploaded to my Flickr page JWHSHD. Plus three for Caracas's other airport La Carlota. Hope they may be of help with any scenery creation. The link to the page: www.flickr.com/photos/12530375@N08/John

I added pictures of Tegucialpa and Guatemala City. So now we should have together all capitals of Central America (meaning everything between Mexico and Colombia).

Have uploaded some pics of Santos Dumont to my Flickr page JWHSHD plus an old pic of Annette Island that I found. Some of the Santos Dumont ones are also on brn76's page but there are some different ones there which may be of help. The Annette Island pic may be of help to those doing the Alaskan scenery.

maybe a good idea its to do all the airports to make an intercontinental route from Buenos Aires to Los Angeles or New York for Exemple and to Paris or London
like that when all the airports are finished we got a nice route
we need information!

Rough draft of Caracas SVMI AFCAD and a preview of the Mesh I made for the surrounding Caracas area. Not sure if I want to include it in the release, but it really wakes up the surrounding area.

maybe a good idea its to do all the airports to make an intercontinental route from Buenos Aires to Los Angeles or New York for Exemple and to Paris or London like that when all the airports are finished we got a nice route we need information! The usual routes of european airlines were Dakar-(Recife-Porto Alegre)-Rio de Janeiro-Sao Paolo-Montevideo-Buenos Aires-Santiago de Chile. Depending on the aircraft Recife and Porto Alegre could be left out. Some airlines halted at Buenos Aires already. From what I've seen in the PanAm timetable of 1962 none of their planes flew from South America to North America without stopping over at Panama/Tocumen. Varig flew nonstops from rio to New York as soon as they had their 707. Many planes stopped in the Caribbean instead of Central America, in Port of Spain Trinidad for Varig for example.

I'm interested in any airport that needs to be done. With proper resources, I can probably model anything. I could be available as soon as I finish JFK in the next couple of months, or if the project is slated for 2015, as soon as I finish with the next couple projects.

Have uploaded 1962 and 1963 charts and some extra shots for Kindley Field Bermuda to my Flickr page JWHSHD. Link to the page is below: www.flickr.com/photos/12530375@N08/Looking around the Net for various pics has been enjoyable especially finding interesting unrelated pages that I normally wouldn't have looked for. One of the joys of being retired is that one has the time to surf. John
