Hi, thank you *dl*, with Tom's instructions regarding the LWMViewer it was really easy to change the landclass of the Cape Canaveral peninsular. Here a picture of the my FS2004 landclass, the tlm-18 antenna of mission control visible middle left, yet no roads or other models: Here the same scenario in FSX: Compared to the FSX image the Fs9 scene looks a bit deserted, very little trees and bushs. I placed a mix of *barren tundra* and *crops grass shrubs* to suppress the unrealistic farmland and little towns. Hope that this will depict this part of Florida well enough, because I've never been there. (to be true America at all ) But other than with the LWMViewer I have a big problem with SBuilder, to get linked (via FSUIPC) with Fs9. I placed the FSUIPC client DLL in the SBuilder folder, but still got the connection error. Do I need a registered version of FSUIPC? Maybe Tom could also give some strait forward instructions for SBuilder in the *Tips* section of this forum? Thanks in advance Bernie

Bernie,
You don't need the registered version of FSUIPC. My unregistered copy is in my FS9/Modules folder and I have no issues connecting SBuilder to FS.

Yes, put the FSUIPC DLL file into the FS9/Modules folder.

Thanks *milspecsim* will see how to make this in Fs9. Still learning the odds and even of the different tools to get this scene show up nicely in Fs9.
Scenery creation for Fs9 takes more than 10 fold the time of FSX.
FSX requires only your 3d model tool (GMAX or FSDS) and ADEX!
Cheers Bernie

I think FS9 requires only one more tool, SBuilder. LWMViewer is optional, since SBuilder can also do landclass. ADE9 can do flattens and excludes.

Yes, but I have still difficulties to get the necessary precision in working with different programs (if you think about them as layers).
In ADEX I have only one GUI so it's easy to place objects, e.g. on roads.

Hi,
Yes that's true. To place scenery objects I use Instant Scenery, which lets me see where I am placing them while in FS.

Hi, here the results of FSX night lighting (which kept me puzzeling for a darn long time) after what I have learnt from Scott Hendrix (Farfy) tutorials. The MCC at night: Launch Pad 5/6 at dawn: Launch Pad 5/6 at midnight: From his tutorials one can learn how to add attach points for lights and effects to Abacus FSDS 3.5.1 and treat them with FSDSxTweak tool. Cheers Bernie

A Mercury-Redstone permanently sitting on the pad. Poor Alan must already be drowning in there.
