This started as a reply to a message in another thread, but I think it is right to start a new one.
I have hade some requests to update my DC-6 model to the same standards as the DC-4 V.2.1 or the Canadair c4.
I took a close look at the "DC-6 situation" today, and I think I can upload an update in a few days time. Maybe tomorrow, but I'm considering making two setups, one for FS2004 (I have made this), and one for FSX with dds-textures so it will work with DirectX 10.
I also found some errors in the model(s) that need attention
But you will get a suite of models (5 in all, 9 paint jobs) covering the entire carreer of the DC-6 (not the DC-6A or B) from early delivery to almost-retirement.
best regards
Jens

Thanks for your excellent work. I'll look foward to the updated model. I can think of a few more paints with the earlier model.

Did a short hop from Long Beach to SFO, looks good, feels good, sounds good....must be a JBK!
And I quite like that Globemaster, its a monster! Any plans to do its successor Jens? I don't think there's been a good Globe II since FS2002.

Downloaded but not yet tested...just wanted to say thanks once again Jens for keeping us outfitted with such wonderful airplanes. By any chance is there a cargo version for the DC-6 in the latest model or on the drawing board Stefan

Hi,
I don't know of many DC-6's that were converted to cargo. A few though.

I think the cargo conversions were mostly done to the -6B models because the early models didn't have the capacity and the -6B models have more powerful engines and were in plentiful supply so there was no need to convert the early models.
I could be wrong.....
