I have successfully moved our(!) wonderful DC6B over to P3d which I am giving a trial. Everything works, save the clickable vc, but there is one odd thing: The warning lights for the oil system keep flashing no matter what the oil gauges say. I know I can just comment them out, but I'm curious as to why.
Any thoughts from those who know about such things would be appreciated to point me in the direction to look for what's happenning.
Next, I'm going to try the connies, though I've heard they don't port over. We'll see.
Thanks.

I'll be interested in your experiments. I have tried as well but have been disappointed. Normally aircraft ported from FS9 to FSX don't work very well in P3D. We need true native FSX models to work properly in P3D. I keep hoping for an FSX native DC-6B (or 7)or Connie but it doesn't seem to be coming down the road.

It's a very good model, and not very expensive, i bought it, and i am happy with it.
If not, the DC-4 of CC, performs OK on FSX and P3D

I'm sure it's a stunning model, but every time someone mentions this addon, I...I kinda hate it...but I should actually hate myself. Why?! Well, because one night, when I was sleepy as heck, but didn't feel like going to sleep, I was browsing through Just Flight's website, stumbled upon this marvelous DC-6 and said to myself " I'll be stunned, a payware, high end DC-6 simulation?! Gotta get it!". Keep in mind that I only use FS9...now don't ask me exactly where I saw anything out there saying this aircraft is FS2004 compatible, 'cuz I can't tell ya, I don't know, but I was sleepy enough for me to see "FS9" and "FS2004" everywhere , so I there I was, with my red eyes dropping in my mouth, clicking "buy now" or "checkout" or whatever that button was labeled with, having no doubt this thing is FS2004 compatible...so I got it, installed it, didn't work...." what the heck?" I was thinking, lemme see that page again [by this time, I became more alert], what does it say? "FSX"...ok, how 'bout FS9?...NUTTIN'...HOLY COW, I just bought an FSX-only addon for my FS2004 The moral of the story? Never shop FS addons when you're sleepy as dead... At least I got in touch with someone who was retiring his FS9 in favor of FSX, he was a classic bird-addict too, and I gave him my brand new FSX DC-6 for his FS9 CS 707 and 727.

Lee PMDG are apparently in the process of prepping the Xplane edition of their DC-6 for beta testing so they presumably will not be too long in getting out the P3D iteration. forum.avsim.net/topic/463714-03mar15-pmdgs-first-product-for-xplane/

Yes they are, and it looks very good. Hopefully the FSX version will follow soon. Thanks for letting us know; neither PMDG nor Just Flight has ever contacted me about their classic planes. Hopefully this site will get a little more traffic once it's released.

I have put P3d on the shelf. I did get the dc6 to fly but didn't do extensive shake down. I was using the one-month version just to try it out, and my time ran out before I could. I'm not sure I'll move to pd3 just now: It does look better than fsx, but not so much better that I'm willing to give up the many things that just don't seem to work as they should. One thing I had hoped for was better coding for autogen popups, which doesn't seem to be the case, and their attempt at it is a not-so-good patch.
So, for now, I'm back to fsx and even fs9 where CalClassics and HJG thrive!
Besides, despite what I see out the window this morning (3+inches of white) sailing season is coming, and much has to be done!

I also bought 1 month od P3D 2.5 what to say? There are some really interessant an nice ideas
But is not enough for me to move yet from fsx to P3D
But i think this will change after 3.0 version
But i stop using my loved FS 9.1 for flight
With my new computer et this time i can really enjoy FSX Acceleration in a scenery designer point of view
Its really better than FS 9 1
In a flight dynamics point of view some aircraft designer told me also better more variables to play with
The bad side of FSX is that is not fully supported by cc developers at april 2015 only 20% of content we can use it on FSX
