I use v.3 and have problems with fuel distribution. The left tank empties before the others. This results in imbalance and problems with control, especially after long flights and when landing.
All fuel valves are set to open, including the two crossfeed valves.
Advice, please.

Try loading the default Cessna at SeaTac flight and then switch to the Argonaut. Sometimes hiding in your default flight.

Thanks, Tom. I always open with the Cessna at SeaTac when I am in FS9. I rarely load the default flight in FSX but can't remember why.
Will give it a try.

Hmm..I loaded up the flying trike at Friday harbor first. Then the Argonaut. Same thing happened enroute.
There are four tanks in the JBK version I am using - Left, Right, Left Aux, Right Aux. The engines draw fuel from the Left Aux tank until it is empty. The feed then switches automatically to the Left (main) tank only.
The result after a longish flight is an aircraft badly out of balance which dips its 'heavy' wing on landing and slews to the right off the runway.
Any other thoughts?

Try loading the default flight again and make sure that the fuel selector in the Cessna is set to both before you switch to the Argonaut.

Thanks, no difference, but I am running FSX not FS9.
I checked the aircraft.cfg file.
[fuel] number of tank selectors=1 electric_pump=1
In fact there are 4 separate main tank selectors in the JBK Argonaut, and two crossover selectors. The two crossover selectors can each be in one of three positions, so it is a complex arrangement. I have no idea how many pumps there are but possibly in the sim, just one pump runs everything.
Some testing to do!

Electric pump means there is an auxiliary pump in addition to the ones connected to each engine. I forget how those are specified (unless they are automatically added to each engine), but it's not there as I remember.

No, there's no auxiliary fuel pump. From the SDK it seems it refers to a booster pump used during startup.
The good news is that I uninstalled and reinstalled the aircraft. As often happens things seem to be working alright now. The number of fuel tank selectors in the .cfg is now, miraculously, four. Not sure what was going on.
Thanks for help.

Hi,
Well if you were using the same Zip file to install and then reinstall the aircraft, and now the config file is different, I would guess that somehow the first time it didn't overwrite an existing config file. Did you have an older version of this aircraft already installed? If not, then it was just a glitch, although this is the first time I've heard of a zip file acting like this.
Sometimes when I'm trying to update an existing aircraft by overwriting with later version zip files, not everything will overwrite. I gave up, and made it a habit of just deleting all the older version files and then installing from new.
