Hello,
I've finally gotten around to trying out a new video card in my computer in hopes of getting decent anti-aliasing. That part is coming along for the AI aircraft, but I notice I now have "bands" in the sky instead of blended colors. It seems to me I read about this long ago and but I sure can't find it. I do have a screenshot but I don't know how to post an image; can someone tell me which setting(s) would affect the sky appearance? Thanks, Kurt

Kurt,
I had the same problem and it drove me crazy until I posted here and the obvious was pointed out to me (I too had just installed a new card). The card settings had the correct resolution that I needed but in 2 resolutions - 16 bit and 32 bit. I went to my settings, realized the resolution was correct, but it was at 16 bit. I reset it to 32 bit, and all was well after that.
Regards, Phil

In full screen, the 32 bit color depths listed in the Options/Settings/Hardware dialog box end with X32.
In windowed mode, you set this in Windows - right click on your Desktop, choose Properties/Settings, and select 32 bit Color Quality.
Hope this helps,

I knew you guys would know the answer! That was it -- I'd put 16 bit in there.
Thanks so much - I'm really excited how much better things are looking and look forward to starting to "fly" again! Kurt
