Dave I downloaded the bird that you included in your email. It is truly a work of art. Even the shine is back to a good looking feature. In my hobby of flying R/C Choppers, Practice makes pieces. but in your work with FSX liveries, Practice makes perfect.

Dave,
I have completely updated C-97G but if I want to use your SUPER SHINY livery, do I have to use FSX Boeing C-97 Update 2.zip ??
Regards,
Aharon

In the read-me file I referenced an earlier beta version of the simulation. I should have updated it to the current version ( c-97_update_2.zip ) which is what I am using as it fixed a few things and added the GPU cart and fire extinguisher. But as far as the visual aircraft model goes the older file should make no difference.

It is to bad that we don't have a model update in FS2004 with doors that open. I have always loved flying this plane, and well i do most of my flying still in FS2004, even though I have FSX installed.

Hi Everyone,
I just finished my Jesse's C-97 flight from KSUU to PHNL. After I Landed, I took a good look at the aircraft and found it was very dirty after the flight. So I taxied over to the base car wash and ran it through there. (There is a good visual image for you!!) It came out nice and shiny like a new Silver Dollar! I then went back to the gate, serviced the aircraft and loaded it up for the flight to PMDY. Ready to take off again.
Thanks Dave for the new repaint. It is beautiful. And thanks to Jesse for the inspirations.
Keep up the good work and keep flying!!

Bob, to keep my flight route accurate you need to go from PHNL to Wake Island and then up to Tokyo. We only went to PMDY on our first leg East Bound from Tokyo. Generally got there a little after dawn in time for breakfast.

I made a few corrections to the repaint - I can always find something to fix The cowls and the prop tips are shinier. Also added some gloss to the orange trim and the white top. Removed the dark line on the fin that was put there to define the separation between the forward fin from the tilt-able rudder. As the sun sets in the West you can get a nice screenshot showing off reflections from the aluminum

Dave, I just noticed that the MATS word on the left side of the stairs for door 2 is reversed. Ala the tail of the default DC3.
