Does anyone know of a download that alters the light levels at dawn and dusk? It stays dark way too long after sunrise and gets dark too early at sunset. The FAA doesn't allow anyone to log a night flight unless it is at least half an hour before sunrise or half an hour after sunset, because you can still easily see ground features, but in FS9, the stars are out 20 min before sunset and the ground is black.

I know what you mean, I have wound the clock on using the up/down arrows and it is dark then 1 minute later it is bright sunshine. I have flown east to west chasing the sunset, that can be fun as the sky does slowly turn darker, but for what you want have you tried a different time of year to do your night flight?

I usually fly in Summer to avoid the worst of this...

It would be great if the darkening in the evening could be more realistic, so that you could see ground features even after sunset, as it is, the ground is pretty much black 15 min before sunset and the reverse is true at dawn. I don't know if it is even possible to change this, but I thought perhaps someone had already tried.

Not sure if it help, but you can use the timezone bgls from avsim. They correct a lot of errors. I need to time the sunset time here, to see if it is longer. it seems it is.
Just an hint..
