Hi all, Seems that the vundo.h virus is making the rounds. My McAfee antivirus program (from Cox Cable) appeared unable to remove it, although it said it was "blocking" it. The symptoms are that your computer "hiccups" every so often, and my firefox browser would throw up random windows, often advertising bogus antivirus software, complete with warning dialog box about not being protected. I searched the web and found these instructions to remove it: www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-removal/remove-vundo-virtumondeI downloaded the free Anti-Malware program from: www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.phpsince I don't blindly follow links I find on the web. I then installed, updated, and ran the quick scan. It found lots of files infected with the virus. I told the program to remove/fix them all, and rebooted when requested. A new scan declares me clean and the random windows and hiccups have stopped. I'm still monitoring things for any problems from the removal, of course. Your mileage may vary... Hope this helps,

Thanks for that headsup Tom. While I have not had any problems with my computers, I will at least know what to look for in case something goes amiss. I use CA myetrust as an anti-virus and it has kept my system pretty clean over the years.
