Hi,
Probably has to do with any addon mesh you might have? A flatten file would fix that.
You also have an extra stock tower there. One thing to try is to remove any files that begin with KMFR or XKMFR in the CalClassic Core/scenery folder (just move them into the main CalClassic Core folder for backup). If that doesn't help you can move them back.

Acording to Instant Scenery scan extra stock tower at KMFR is part of kmfrsgx.bgl file in new scenery folder. Trying to delete it causes a COD.

Thanks Tom. I will do a flatten. I knew the area is volcanic, but that protrusion is a bit much :>.

On having a look at my Medford scenery, I don't have the mountain but I do have that extra tower. In the CalClassicCore/scenery folder I found a file called kmfrsgx.bgl. When I tried to rename it my Windows Explorer stopped working, so I have left it. Should I have tried to rename this file or is it a file from somewhere else that should be renamed or removed?

Hi,
I created Medford. I do not have that mountain nor the tower. If you say it is part of the sgx file, I am wondering then did your old sgx file not get overwritten with the new one? Or does Tom have this same problem, which means he does not have my sgx file.
If you want to be sure for a clean install do the following:
1. In the world scenery library deactivate your pacific northwest scenery later. 2. Delete that scenery layer/folder and then close FS. 3. Delete your Pacific Northwest scenery folder to your trash bin. 4. Install the new version of Pacific Northwest scenery into your addon scenery folder. 5. Start FS, go to the scenery library, and now add Pacific Northwest scenery, making sure it is above the core. 6. Close FS. 7. Start FS, and go to Medford and see if the problem is still there.
I'm afraid you have old, obsolete files that somehow were not overwritten with the new good ones.
Deleting the old scenery completely and a fresh install of the new will eliminate this possibility.
Oh, I forgot to add, I have no addon terrain mesh, so I don't have that mountain. Its coming from another folder that has some addon mesh in it.

Hi,
If that old tower is appearing, perhaps you have the CalClassic Core scenery layer listed above your classic addon airports in the Scenery Library? It should be below other classic scenery layers. Check out the top of my Scenery page for the proper order of your classic scenery layers.
Hope this helps,

Removing that SGX file should not cause any problems, as long as you delete it with FS9 not running.

BTW, the 1957 AI traffic already includes West Coast DC-3s serving KCLS, so no recoding is necessary Jason.

I had a copy of KMFRSGX.bgl in my CalClassic Core scenery folder and in my Pacific Northwest 1960 scenery folder. Removing them both with FS9 not running removed the extra tower without any problems.

IF YOU HAVE this problem of the extra tower appearing then it is most likely for some unknown reason your core layer might be higher than the Pacific Northwest scenery layer.
Check to make sure this is NOT the case.
The core layer should always be lower than the scenery layers.
If the core layers is lower, then uncheck it as an active scenery layer, restart fs, then re-check it, and restart fs again and that should solve it. Occasionally I get a bug in FS where deactivating and activating a scenery layer will fix this error.
The problem is this bug causes FS to read from multiple scenery layers at the same time. That will give you extra objects. Deactivating and reactivating seems to cure it.

Hi,
Ah, I see that file somehow made it into the beta release. Please delete it.
Delete:
KMFRSGX.BGL
in the FS/Addon Scenery/Pacific Northwest 1960/scenery folder.
Thanks,
