Hi,
As promised, the text file:
************ 1960 Pacific Northwest USA Scenery **************
by Tom Gibson and Mike Stevens
Version 2, 2/2016, for FS2004 only.
Support available at the CalClassic Forum:
calclassic.proboards.com/NOTE: This file, AI traffic, and lots of classic airliners can be
downloaded free from Tom Gibson's California Classics at -
www.calclassic.com/ We've produced this scenery to provide new GMAX terminals, taxiways, buildings and details as they were around 1960 for 27 airports in the Pacific Northwest region. We've also created 11 generic classic airports in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington then served by airlines. These do not include custom GMAX terminals but use instead one of our new generic Classic Terminals object for the terminal, since I did not have photos. Mike Stevens has done the majority of the work on the new GMAX terminals and other buildings - thanks!
If the airport has a custom GMAX terminal (and often other buildings as well) it will be preceded by stars (***). The airlines that served the airport in 1960 are listed. The largest scheduled propliner that used each airport in 1960 is listed at the end. Airlines on interchange runs are in parentheses.

*** PLEASE TURN OFF THE SEATTLE AERIAL PHOTO LAYER LOCATED IN THE SCENERY LIBRARY ***
Suggested Additions and Deletions:
This scenery version includes the Seattle World's Fair, which opened after 1960. See the installation instructions below if you would like to remove it.
If you do not have another airport texture addon, I suggest that you download and install airland1.zip from AVSIM or elsewhere. It increases frame rates while adding detail to the concrete and asphalt aprons, taxiways, and runways.
AI propliner and GA traffic matching this scenery is available separately from
www.calclassic.com (AI Aircraft page).
Credits:
Airport surfaces created with AFCAD2 by Lee Swordy and ADE by Jon Masterson - thanks.
Produced using GMAX by Discreet, ExcBuilder by Paavo Pihelgas, Ground2K4, EZ-Scenery by Konstantin Kukushkin (Abacus). Thanks to all!
PLEASE NOTE:
A. The Pacific Northwest 1960, CalClassic Landclass, and Static Objects Library scenery layers should be active if flying in 1960. You never need to disable the Static Objects Library layer in any case.
B. You may want to print out these instructions and check off each step as you finish it.
INSTALLATION
This EXE installer will NOT create a Start Menu entry, registry entry, uninstall program
or anything else, other than copying the relevant files to the proper folders. You may
install to a temporary folder by pressing the ... button and copying things by hand if you wish.
1. Quit FS2004 if running.
2. ***IMPORTANT*** Download and install the scenery libraries contained in the Classic Scenery Libraries v4 or later
compiled by Wolfgang Gersch (Classic_Libraries_v4.zip at flightsim.com, also linked on the CalClassic Scenery
page), if you have not done so already.
www.calclassic.com/scenery.htm3. Download and install the EZ-Scenery Libraries, available from:
www.abacuspub.com/pub/AbacusEZLibraries.exe4. Open this PacNW1960_2.zip file archive by double clicking it. You will find
this text file and a file called Setup.exe. The EditVoicePacka and kpdx 1957 folders are described below.
5. Double click the Setup.exe file to start the installation. Press
the Run button at the warning screen. If it doesn't find your FS2004 folder automatically,
press the ... button and browse to it. Follow the instructions to install.
NOTE FOR NEXT STEPS: If you have already installed some of the CalClassic scenery packages,
you may have at least some of the required scenery layers installed. If so, skip that
step (see below).
6. Start FS2004 and go to the Settings/Scenery Library choice on the
opening screen. If you are currently flying, press Escape (Esc) and then End
Flight to get to this screen. Look at the top portion of the list. If there is no
CalClassic Landclass area listed there, click on the Add Area button. Double click the
ADDON SCENERY folder. Click the CalClassic Landclass folder once. Click OK.
NOTE: For System 7 or later, click in the white area to make the box go away and add the layer. Repeat for other layers below.
7. If there is no Pacific Northwest 1960 area listed there, click on the Add Area button.
Double click the ADDON SCENERY folder. Click the Pacific Northwest 1960 folder once.
Click OK.
8. If you have any addon scenery for modern Northwestern USA airports, jetways, etc. uncheck
that scenery's Active box to inactivate it.
9. ***Uncheck the Seattle Aerial Photo Scenery layer.***
11. Click OK. Quit and restart FS.
12. If at the main screen, choose Create Flight at the left, select desired items, and
press Fly Now. Choose Options/Settings/Display. Under Scenery Objects set the
Scenery Density to Dense or less (setting to Very or Extremely Dense will display modern
jetways at default airports). Also, set the Autogen Density to Dense or less
(any higher may display telephone poles in odd places at the airports); this will also
simulate the less dense cities found in the era. Click OK.
13. (Optional) If you want white taxiway lines AROUND THE WORLD, rename the
taxiway_marks.bmp file found in the FS2004 TEXTURE folder to
taxiway_marks.bmp.yellow. Then copy the taxiway_marks.bmp file found in
the FS2004/Addon Scenery/Pacific Northwest 1960 folder to the FS2004 TEXTURE folder. Restart
FS.
If you want yellow lines again, rename this current taxiway_marks.bmp file to
taxiway_marks.bmp.white, and rename the taxiway_marks.bmp.yellow file to
taxiway_marks.bmp. Restart FS.
14. If you later want to fly in the modern era, just go into the Scenery Library
(Settings/Scenery Library) and click on the Enabled box next to the
Pacific Northwest 1960 and CalClassic Landclass entries until the red check
marks are removed to deactivate the 1960 scenery (do not deactivate the Static
Objects Library layer). If you have white taxiways, revert to yellow by renaming the
current taxiway_marks.bmp file in the FS2004 TEXTURE folder to taxiway_marks.bmp.white,
and rename the taxiway_marks.bmp.yellow file to taxiway_marks.bmp. Check the Seattle Aerial
Photo layer and any inactivated addon scenery areas for the Northwestern USA. You must restart
FS after you do all of this.
Reverse this process again to go back to 1960.
15. OPTIONAL: If you do not want the Seattle World's Fair in your scenery (opened after 1960), move the following files from the FS2004/Addon Scenery/Pacific Northwest 1960/scenery folder into the FS2004/Addon Scenery/Pacific Northwest 1960 folder:
ksea_worlds_fair.bgl
Seattle_Worlds_Fair.bgl
16. OPTIONAL: In the EditVoicePackfolder you will find EVP import files that will give several airports proper names by ATC. There are also a few new AI airlines in this folder which fly into the Pacific Northwest. Refer to the EditVoicePack manual for further instructions.
17. In the kpdx 1957 folder you will find an alternate night texture for the old United terminal (lit up at night). This would be used if you are modeling 1957 (a new ADE file would be required, however). It would be pasted into the FS2004/Addon Scenery/Pacific Northwest 1960/texture folder. BACK UP the original file first!
NOTE: This file, AI Traffic for this scenery (and the world), and lots of classic
airliners can be downloaded free from Tom Gibson's Classic Airliner web site at -
