Hi Everybody,
This is my first post, and I've been having great fun trying out some of the classic propliners after spending a long time mostly flying classic jets and GA.
I've downloaded the fantastic Starliner v2.1 and she flies very well, however nothing I do can make the BMEP match the values given on the kneeboard checklist.
After departing for KSEA with fair weather set, my first power reduction to 51"/2650 gives me a BMEP of 277 rather than 255, and the LB climb of 40"/2500 gives me about 230 BMEP rather than 196.
Other than throttle, rpm and altitude, what else can affect the BMEP?
Also, on the status panel during the climb, I'm getting over 3200 BHP, when METO power with low blower (51",2650) should apparently give 2920. Could this be related to my BMEP issue?
Best Regards, --Graeme

Hi Greame on the starliner there are some power inconsistencies that will be rectified in version 2.1a when it is released ,or alternatively use the calclassics fde update and notepad available in the aircraft section rgds Edd

Thanks Edd,
I've tried the revised FDE, but prefer the way the mixture & blowers works in the original. Is there any way to make the mixture work with the auto rich, auto lean detents like the original does?
With regard to the original, as long as it's not something I'm doing wrong then I'm happy - there's much more of the model to explore and the issue doesn't affect my enjoyment of it.
Regards --Graeme

Hi Greame I dont think its possible to use the ato lean / rich mixture on the calclassic fde as you have to set the mixture to auto in fs9 for the fde to work properly with regard to the origanal fde you not doing anything wrong > enjoy rgds Edd
