Here are a few screenshots of a virtual cockpit I am starting to develope. I will be shaping a bunch or sections in google sketchup pro and converting them over to FSDS 3.5 for texturing/scaling. i43.tinypic.com/j81oae.jpgi41.tinypic.com/2yvl7rs.jpgAnyone else interested in helping or contributing to this project.... please feel free to send me an email. merculiv@gmail.com Victor N Merculief Jr.

Thanks Victor, looking great. I thought there was already an Electra project underway?

IMHO, FSX badly needs an L-188. Hopefully a native FSX version and not a port-over. So, I'm happy too. :-)

This one will be native for FSX.

Since I have Sketchup pro 7 I can export it to .3ds format and my gmax has a .3ds importer plugin that I found online and I just import from there. I could send you the plugin for gmax that I use if you'd like. Just let me know. Or from this URL: www.scenery.org/design_utilities_gmax.htm I am sure you can export from gmax to fs9 with makemdl but I am using Xtomdl since thats what FSX SDK uses. I am not familiar with FS9 SDK so that would be a question you might ask over at www.fsdeveloper.com

sorry to hear that pro 7 costs almost 500 dollars. I was hoping the free sketchup could port to gmax. too bad.
A good tool for for building/object modeling, but is it efficient for aircraft? look forward to more images from the l-188 project.
