Paul Freeman's web site "Abondoned and Little Known Airports",shows in the Seattle area an apt created in the 1930s and named Sand Point later NAS Seattle. It makes mention in history section that at one time both Boeing and Pan Am used the facilities, but doesn't go into detail of their participation at he field. Hope this of use to you. Jesse

The only info that I have can be found in this address: www.rbogash.com/B314.htmlNot much is revealed about the Clipper Base, but it seems to indicate that it was on the Duwamish River where it joins Elliot Bay in Seattle. Jesse

I live 30 blocks north of the old sand point NAS. It was a amphib and recon station on Lake Washington, just north of the University. Supported jets during vietnam too. Must have been loud. It's now called Magnuson park, given to King County as part of the BRAC. It would make a great project for the military vintage folks. 1935: 1946 1955

If you can get the info figured out and it works in FS-X, I'll gladly put together an AFCAD file for it. I was hoping somebody would build the old Clipper bases. Now if I could get an FS-X Clipper....
