Hi, I haven't used the CS707 for a long time because the plane veers left taxiing and flying. I changed all the weight distribution in the aircraft cfg, made all y=0, but that didn't help. Made sure there was the same fuel amount in all tanks and nothing. Has anyone else noticed this and instead of trimming the plane found a permanent fix for it ? Thanks in advance. Cheers. Disco

Interesting, reinstalling it did not fix the issue for me........the veering left effect is most noticeable on approach.

This maybe is an issue with your joystick or yoke. Try loading the default SeaTac flight with the default Cessna 172 and then changing to the CS707.

Hi, thanks but I tried everything before I asked for help. I did a reset defaults start to see if it would fix it but it didn't. I can't see anything in the aircraft cfg that could cause any balance issues other than the station loads which I zeroed all the y's, and the cg position which is at y=0 by default. I am an old timer....I still fly with the keyboard. Cheers.

discoazul - I have the Capt Sim B707 and like yourself am basically a keyboard driver (I actually find it easier) but I have to say I have not experienced that issue with the 707. I doubt it could be the model or is configuration. The only thing I can think of is your basic control set up and realism should all be maximum right and the null zones to the left or minimum. Other than that could be the software for your keyboard/mouse try updating or reinstalling that.

Disco,
Just some additional ideas to exclude causes: - Are your basic trim settings neutral, especially the rudder? - Are all four engines responding simultaneously to throttle inputs?

Hi Mikeh, I tried that and it made no difference. Thanks. Erik, I don't know of a key that sets to neutral all of the trim positions at once, so when in doubt I do a reset defaults start....I did that to see if I could solve this problem. Actually I don't think the rudder and elevator trims have a set to neutral key assignment. I also tested the CS707 with fuel only in the center tank and it still banked left slowly. Thanks. Cheers.

Have you tried this?
Load the default Cessna at Seatac flight. Load the 707. Take off.
Hope this helps,

Thanks Tom, that was one of the first things I tried. Tried it with the 737 as well. Cheers.

I had a similar problem and tried all sorts of calibrations on my yoke and rudder but to no avail. Then the other weekend when my young ladyfriend was visiting she did a "clean up" of my computer. Brought up pages I didn't know even existed. Since then everything is working beautifully, touch wood, which is why I'm spending a lot more time at the moment with my flying. Could be a cookie or similar that is causing the problem. Might be worth looking at.

JWH's comments are pertinent. I did some thinking on this (well trying to remember) because for a long time I had the same problem with aircraft not keeping straight and rolling left in the climb and the cruise. AT the time I was doing a lot of C-47 flying and thought it was just my poor control etc. I tried everything but it would not go away nor could I rectify it. Alas no magic answer as to what fixed but this: I had a hard drive failure (partial)It was a peculiar problem that only afflicted HP equipment where an error develops and the disk controller responds as if it is damaged in a fatal way. Anyhow in the process I actually had to do a complete reinstall of the flight sim etc etc. I also did a complete clean up of a whole lot of stuff etc and installed new mouse and key board drivers as well and the problem disappeared. It certainly was not any issue with the models but something fundamental in the O/S and peripherals communication. I have not had a repeat since. I do have an uneducated hunch - I am sure over time that MS products including FS end up being spread all over your disc or the indexing function is not 100% so FS cannot find stuff or has to hunt for it or misses it altogether until you do a complete clean up, just defragging does not fix this issue. The other thing is over time there are so many updates of various bits and pieces in the O/S result in some minor changes which are not obvious or which you are not aware change something and hey presto a script call or function no longer works correctly or becomes unstable. A clue to this situation is that if you delete the FS config file and let the system rebuild it, it will work beautifully for a while then play up again as it strikes or attempts to do something that has the altered file, as there are so many permutations and files I am at a loss to run it down sometimes. I have this problem right now, FS has worked flawless, something changed now it no longer wants to shut down properly and there are issues starting to appear in the way it works again. All I know is that only a total rebuild seems to clean it all up and getting it going again but it sure is a pain in the #@$!.
Not sure if there is useful but something more to consider.

Hi: is everything ok in fsuipc? I had a problem with the L1649 which was struggling to catch its speed, and it was due to a setting of flaps in fsuipc, which I do not know where he came from. All the best.

Thanks Mikeh and jwh, but I've had this issue with the CS707 for a long time. Had it on a laptop running Vista, have it on a laptop running Windows 7, and on my newest laptop running Windows 10 even when it was brand new, so I presume I had not messed it up yet. Thanks Crimar for the tip, but I've never played with the .dll files. How do I even open it (Notepad?), and what do I look for ? Thanks. Cheers.

Hello: under Flight Simulator running and ready to take off, go to menu bar, using the mouse, and select the Modules entry, then FSUIPC. You can see all the parameters you have access. All the best.
