Hi, as a newcomer to the forum, it will take a while to find my way around, but I'd just like to say what a fantastic site this is for a 60+ kid at heart who can remember all these fantastic planes in the UK. Question. Having downloaded the CA59 Traffic files, and the FS2002 AI aircraft, and installed them in their proper directories, is it necessary to convert the default aircraft .cfg files to NAI?? There don't seem to be enough default variations of paint schemes to accommodate the AI aircraft. Thanks for any info.

Hi,
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it.
It appears you are flying FS2002? I need to know *which* of the traffic files you downloaded. There are three choices.
Each file contains a text file with Readme in the file name. Double click that file to open it. It will give you instructions on how to install the files. None of them involve adding NAI to the default aircraft - that is done only if you are using the traffic file that came with FS2002, and want other aircraft to replace them. In this case you will only be able to have a few types of aircraft flying.
Hope this helps,

Hi. Yes, I'm flying FS2002. I down loaded and installed the replacement Traffic file version 2 7/02 of 2.3MD. I put the traffic file in the right directory, renaming the original tfc file. I have downloaded all the AI propliners for FS2002, and installed them in my aircraft folder in the main directory. (all this without actually running FS2002!). I then followed the instructions for replacing a default aircraft, which by the looks of things, I needn't have done ! Can I easily get back my original default aircraft, and correct the replacement AI .cfg files? I hope I haven't messed things up too much! Thanks for your prompt reply.

Hi,
You should be able to just rename the default aircraft (by removing the NAI) and you will be fine. Make sure to remove the trailing space too.
If you have edited the AI aircraft's cfg files, the easiest way to get them back is just reinstall the planes.
Hope this helps,
