If you are a big DC-3 fan I highly recommend the MAAM Sim DC-3. It's worth every penny and there is a ton of free adds for it.
I am A. a big DC-3 fan and B. cheap and C. a HUGE fan of freeware, this is the only payware plane I own.

I have the MAAM DC-3 and it's outstanding! I'm just working with FS9's DC-3, so I'll take a look at that website.

Maybe some of Trev Morson and Mark Beaumont's work over at www.DC3Airways.com might help you. They've made a lot of panel, weight and balance and .airfile adjustments to try to correct the problems with that default plane. It really was a shame. Whoever built the ".mdl" of the default model did a nice job. It just can't fly very well. Yours,

Rather than try to modify the default DC-3, I would recommend the RR4 package at DC3 Airways that Randy recommended. It has the default DC-3 with all the modifications built in, three great panels and the Radio Range which is a lot of fun to fly. Another option is the "Perfect DC-3" file at Douglas DC-3.com already recommended here. I seem to remember a file at the MAAM website to activate the Radio Range system on that aircraft. These are all great websites, and are a great resource to learn about flying and simming.

If you have the MAAM DC-3, why not use the FDEs (aircraft.cfg plus .air file) from that? You will only need to copy three sections from the MS aircraft.cfg across and performance should be the same: [Lights] [Contact points] [Views] John
