This may have been answered long ago, but I just realized that all the Cal Classic DC-4, 6 and 7 panels have substituted individual RPM gauges in place of the individual BMEP indicators that are in the top row of every similar real world aircraft. All my photos and manuals show paired RPM (as are all the other engine gauges but BMEP). I'm assuming that there must be some FS quirk that requires this, but it is curious as the main panels are pretty accurate otherwise.

Hi, Two reasons. The first reason is nothing more than the current flight dynamics specify RPM, not BMEP. So they were set up that way to highlight the RPM. The second reason is that Mitch set up his panel that way, and I didn't bother changing it.

Thanks Tom. Makes sense to me. Mitch's panels were a huge step forward in flight sim freeware.

I agree! Mitch's panels were first rate. It's sad that he no longer contributes to our hobby.
