Hi all,
Downloaded and installed this successfully it seems but launching the GE_Pro.exe immediately gives a GE window with the message "sub main path not found".
It's in FS2004 and I use W10. Flight 1 key etc is in C drive and the program is in a big D drive as is my FS9 folder.
Any thoughts anyone? Nothing I can see in the web or the Flight 1 forum.
Bill
Update: Sorted now I think. Will advise outcome

Bill, Are you pleased with what it has done for your ground textures? Ken

Can't really say yet Ken, still a bit of reading up to do, but initial impression is yes the textures are much improved and indeed quite attractive, although best viewed at intermediate heights. I use it with FSGenesis mesh and might add Ultimate Terrain sometime. I intend to keep going with FS9 and these programmes might eventually become unavailable for FS9.
It is however 2006 technology. Yes it improves FS9 but many will prefer to spend their $50 on P3D if nicer landscape is a priority.
Installation problem was a common one and my fault. The installer had found a stray copy of fs9.exe in another folder with was called FS2004 but actually just a store for bits and pieces.
All the best
Bill

Many thanks Bill. It is expensive but the night textures in particular do look impressive in the screenshots they provide. I understand that it is best to have these things when they are available, and companies going out of business is also a possible problem, though one would not expect this of Flight 1. I do most of my flying over 10,000 feet and most of my looking out of the window then too, often at cloud or sea, whereas one of the main strengths of P3D seems to be what you see at low level. By the time I am low enough to look at the scenery I am also low enough to be spending most of my time concentrating on the approach and landing. People using automatic landing systems or flying small aircraft are in a different position, but I think I am having more fun than they are, and hence it will take quite a lot to prise me away from FS9. I have had Ultimate Terrain for some years and certainly think it is worth bothering with, Best wishes, Ken
