Not available online but if you are able to you should check out the May, 2009 Airways magazine. There are two great articles in there.
1) An essay on how flight engineers in the USA came to be non-existent and what became of some of them. Heart of Steel by Richard S Drury (compared by some as the present day Ernest K. Gann)
2) A wonderful article by a Pan Am B314 driver who retired from Pan Am in 1977 about how it was to fly the Boeing 314 flying boats across the Atlantic during World War II. Definitely not to be missed - so much meat in that article you could eat it! Flying the Boeing 314 'Clippers' by Captain William B. Nash
