I hope there is someone here that can help me with this.
On all of my radial engine aircraft in FSX, this includes the default DC-3 and the Goose as well. After the second engine is started it sound like they are running wide open. I can push the throttle all the way forward and back, but that only works until a view change is done. Then it's back to sounding like the engines are running full throttle. I've tried different sound, but it's the same. I don't know if this helps, but I'm running FSX on Vista

Hi i had the same problem with FSX and engine sound. Check your dead zone on your throttle setting make sure it is set to zero. or no null zone. the other thing i found is that i miss installed a sound file of an addon aircraft. it drove me nuts for days trying to find the problem. the last time this happened to me i had to do a reinstall.

Hi just wondering what type of controls your using? im using the starliner i FSX without any problem. under settings/controls my null zone slider is all the way to the left with sensitivity fully to the right.

CH Throttles sensitivity fully to the right, and no null zone.
It seem the default DC-3 is the only multiengine that does not do this. Now if it's just a single engine it's fine, this only happens with the multiengine aircraft.

Also, check the settings to ensure the "Reverse" box isn't ticked. This annoyed the heck out of me once..... Good luck, Mike

I too suffer of this with FSX In Vista. I have updated my drivers to no avail. The only thing to do, I have heard, is to get a new sound card, I bet you have an onboard sound card in your rig vatckenny?

Kenny,
I had the same problem as well. I did what Bernardo suggests and went out and bought the standard $29.00 SoundBlaster card. Haven't had a problem since.

Like Pacific SMX I did the same on my old XP rig and that helped. Nevr had a problem since...On that computer. That was a privately built machine specially built to run Fs9...At the time... Now I have a Fujitsu Siemens 2 core duo 1.8-1,79 @ 4200 G's with a Realtek onboard card...And I haven't the faitest if I can put this sound card into this one?

Bernardo,
Guess I should have elaborated a little bit more when I posted. I'm running Vista with an AMD dual core and a Realtex on-board sound card. Once I installed the SoundBlaster I disabled the on-board card and then went to the SoundBlaster website and updated the drivers for the SoundBlaster card. All has been well since.
Regards, Phil
