Well Mike the Connie's were called the Lockheed Tri-motors by some so I guess we did get the girl to work "as real as it gets" But if you keep running into trouble with the R-3350 let us know and we'll see what is going on. The same goes for the tank switching...the sequence is very important both directions. The engines will not restart above 14000ft ..but below that as long as fuel delivery is reestablished they should come back. During testing I have flown her with #1 and #2 feathered...lot of work but doable if you're not at MTOW Stefan

Good morning to all Thank you for your evaluations, but I was only clarifying the textures of the virtual cockpit delivered with the plane. This with PHOTOSHOP CS3 via DXTBMP. And a modification of the aircraft.cfg by adding the text in red (Under FSX): [Views] //eyepoint=39.7, -1.730, 1.94 // LH Pilot's seat position - use with panel.cfg "BT" option. eyepoint=38.7, -1.55, 2.09 // Slightly higher and further back - use with panel.cfg "AP" or "eyepoint back" options [SMOKESYSTEM] smoke.0 = -0.9, -1.35, 2.95, fx_vclighth.fx //Add vc lights for day use
Well prove if the file fx_vclighth.fx exists in the directory " Effects" That's all ! What is curious it is that the creators persist in delivering us such dark cockpits while they are splendid when clarified! Jean-Michel (Sorry for my english)

Great pictures, Jean-Michel! Thanks Volker and Ricardo! I'm glad you like it Here is the next one: Varig "PP-VDE" : Greetings Tim Wow thats a great looking Varig bird! Tim you arent going to leave me anything to paint! I downloaded this one and its very well done on a complicated scheme. Source art isnt that easy to get either. I do think the VARIG is a bit large and the blue maybe just a little light. Otherwise perfecto! Eric

Great that you like it But you are right...unfortunately the repaint has quite a few mistakes. Luckily a nice guy from Brazil dropped me a mail with lots of informations and pictures about the plane. So I will upload a revised version of my livery in a few days Greetings Tim

I still get hate mail from Brazilians about how bad a job I did on it....

Hi Stefan,
Yes, I know the Connie was the best tri-motor ever. I have a friend in Sydney who used to work for Qantas in those days, and he's told me a few stories related to engine failues and sharing engines between operators. I wonder if that kind of co-operation would exist now??
At present, I'm fairly certain that my 3 engined landing have been down to my ineptitude. When I get a moment, I'll try the last flight again and replicate exactly what I did. If there's any issues, I'll let you know, but I'd have thought that if there was a problem, someone else would have reported it by now. I was at 16,000 feet when the engine stopped, but being in a hurry I think caused my problem. I must try 2 engines out - that sounds interesting.
To Manfred,
The H model looks fantastic. I'll enjoy trying that one out when you can release it.
Cheers, Mike.

Tom, yes, it's got a hinged front cargo door - but it's painted on I am afraid . The pax door is inlaid into the rear cargo door, and when open, the airstairs show. One must be careful, however, not to open both doors at the same time. If you do, you'll have the pax door hovering in midair. Found no way to prevent that. With the release of the H we are also going to fix some of the initial oversights that were noted on these pages. Maarten is going to release an updated paintkit for the cargo version, including templates for the C-121C and R7V-1, in due course. Manfred
