Congratulations on a job well done! I'm sure most of us have no idea how much work goes into an aircraft like this. You've certainly enriched our simming experience. Thank you!

OK, took her up around the Seattle area for a bit. Very nice. Only issue was the taxi light not shinning on the runway which has been mentioned already, and I find the VC a little dark (day time )in my PC, the 2d panel is ok. Maybe I just need to increase the brightness in my PC.

I love this plane!
I'm having some issues with the panel when I try to install a modern style autopilot. The gyro doesn't move unless reset with the 'D' key on the keyboard. The only way to execute a turn while the autopilot is on the NAV setting, is to continually press the 'D' key until the turn is complete. I've tried to replace the gyro with a different one that I know works with this AP setup but to no avail. I also ran into this problem with the Starliner, so I use the ver 2.0 NoVC version of that plane.
Any help is appreciated.
Chris
PS: I've tried to remove the stock AP but no dice. The AP I'm trying to use is the Lear 45 AP that came from Microsoft.

I uploaded 8 textures for the new L1049 variants to AVSIM and Flightsim tonight. Look for L1049rep.zip

Hi Chris, Just so we're clear did you try to replace just the AP with a different one or the AP and the DG as well On the Starliner we did at one point have a more modern AP with digital pre-selects and so on that worked without problems in both the VC and the 2D panels. I have not tried the Lear AP ...too modern for my taste in this case. IF I have time I'll have a look but it is possible that the very specific code for the Connies doesn't like just any aftermarket AP. Stefan

Hi Stefan,
I finally got a chance to look over the repaints in the released version. Bad news is that the paint kit released (flying) did not have the added details (interior and so on), thus none of my paints will have this. It would be un-fair to the teams work by me offering them without the added details. I could go back in and do them manually, but that would be too time consuming for 29 repaints, so maybe I should just wait for a proper paint kit. I was originally going to do it as Irish International since I had done it on an Alpha Sim L-1049C model, but held off since I wanted the proper model, but found a picture of "G" done in this scheme. It would not be a problem to change the titles out, but it will lack the details I mentioned above.

jeanmaridor: Thanks for replying. I just loaded up my sim and the TWA 1049 to see my prop textures, this is what I have, no prop- tip colors. Here's an image: If the textures with the colored prop tips are the originals, why don't they display?

Thanks for the tips Bill!! Got carried away by the looks of this Queen and didn't bother to read the tips while installing the files. Currently performing some long range flights mastering the fuel system.

jeanmaridor: AS you can see my proptextures have no colored tips on the TWA N7103C. The folder has a grey texture for the propdisk. The other textures EAL has propdisk with red, white and blue The TWA-F has..................................White and red KLM propdisk texture is also grey.Checking the planes in the select menu all others show colored tips. The TWA N7103C doesn't And these are straight form the download, yesterday ? I had the same issue with the Starliner

Stefan I have installed the modern style autopilot of the Starliner ( both 2D panel and VC, but if you use the no VC model you can leave the VC part of the Panel.cfg untouched), copy/pasting lines from the Starliner's Panel.cfg ( and adapting a little the dimensions), and everything works fine. If you feel the need for a more modern AP, use that one and you'll be fine.

Got the tip prop textures right; Sorry about the size of the screenshot Tom. Took me a while to notice that the proptip textures of the N7103C is only grey. And the one of the TWA-Fictional/Silverbird has the proptip painted. It was a bit confusing as they both have the same registration No.

Hi! I'm still to understand why some people feel the need to change things around! But, if it works for you, that is just great! If it doesn't, you shouldn't have changed them in the first place, should you? ;D Apart from the taxi lights not shinning on the tarmac, there isn't any other problem that I can see! Again, another great work from Manfred! Thanks! After a short flight from EDDH to EDDF, all is set to Shannon and New York! Bernardo: Your shot just shows what looks like FS2000 gone blurred! I thought this aircraft was for FS9! ;D Have great flights and don't forget to substitute those propdisks with the ones from the fsx folder! If that is fsx you are using! Soft Landings!
