Hello Tom and Jaap, Just one more modelling question for you guys. ;D The landing/taxi lights .... It appears that only the taxi light switch provides light on the runway. (looks like the landing lights). It is not really a big deal but the landing lights switch does nothing (no light on the runway). Can anything be done about this? Is there an answer to this question? I'm getting the same results with this plane. Anything I can do without getting into more trouble? Thanks

Hi Kelly, I have noticed it too and don't know what causes that. I have used the correct object naming for the taxi light and for the landing lights during modification of the Gmax plane model. But they now seem to be operated by the same switch - the taxi light. The landing light switch has no effect. I guess somewhere a code is not working properly. But I am not so skilful in that area Jaap

Jaap,
Which panel are you using? If it has this behavior using my panel, then it should be able to be fixed.
If so, send me the GMAX file and I'll try to figure it out.
Hope this helps,

Hi Tom, Your panel is used and even with a default panel (beech_king_air_350) it does that. Gmax model is on the way Cheers, Jaap

Having flown on this aircraft myself IRL I had to paint it.

Tom: Any progress on the landing lights questions?
I'm just curious as much as anything, and I'd be interested in how it works (or doesn't) as well as having it do so.
Thanks.

Good, Tom, thanks. As I said, I'd be interested in the how and why as well as the result.

The how is that we need to fix the material name attached to the light polygons (light_land instead of light_taxi) and need to position them on the wing properly. The why is so they work.

Perhaps I should have refined "why" to "How come you do this particular thing? What is it's effect, precisely." I love being a set up guy for comedians..... ;D However, it appears to be above my pay grade, anyhow, so I'll just wait till you get it sorted out. Thanks, Tom.

Hello all The F27 models (-200) are modified now with proper working taxi and landing lights. A bit late - sorry for that But I got carried away while attempting to do a cargo version of the Mark 300 with a working freight door. It is turning out quite nicely: Anyway, here is the link to the latest -200 models with working taxi / landing lights: www.mediafire.com/?20rhg1auqaowl200FP is the model with flat prop tips (square) 200RP is the model with rounded prop tips. Cheers, Jaap
