Hello Simmers The AI Viscount -800 went into "holding" for quite a while.... Other priorities had driven her into that position. But now, on the first day of 2014 I have managed to get it finished so far that it is available as a beta model for you to try out. For the naming of night and day textures use the same procedure as with the -700 Viscount. Day time textures get "_t" in the name, night time textures get "_LM". Use Tom's handy survey for the correct naming shown here: linkThe files for the -800 have the same names as for the -700 (Note: the -800 has no viscount_door file) Let the -800 make some test flights and see if it all works the way it should. Add existing -800 texture files from your own choice - don't forget to change and check the texture file names. Happy New Year to all ! The AI Viscount -800 can be downloaded here: linkJaap

WOW, very nice Jaap. That's a perfect New Year gift! As the 800 model has been used by several companies, I hope to find many suitable textures. Anyway, thanks a lot.
Cheers, Bernard

Aha, looking very nice Bernard !! The alpha channel gives a nice shine on the lower fuselage and engines. Well done ! I'm glad you like the results There are a lot of Viscount-800 repaints to be found on the net so you can have many of them flying around. Have fun. Cheers, Jaap

There are a lot of Viscount-800 repaints to be found on the net so you can have many of them flying around. It isn't that easy, Jaap. So I'm still missing the old KLM repaint. Maybe you might have better connections ...! Cheers, Bernard

Bernard,
The 1960's KLM Viscount with the diagonal stripes in the tail is in the base-pack of Rick Piper's Viscount -800. Try a search for "Rick Piper Viscount base pack" on the internet.

Hi Jaap,
There are a lot Viscount repaints at BritSim.com, and especially a nice KLM 1957 created by Maarten. Unfortunately the textures are not useable with your AI Viscount. The diagonal stripes were introduced in 1960, wereas I'm using traffic 1959. So I remain with the actual AI version what this arirline concerns.
Cheers, Bernard

Do you mean this one? One of my very first repaints for Rick's Viscount I'll send you a download link for it. Jaap

Exactly Jaap. Thanks for the link and putting the textures at disposal. Meanwhile Maarten also sent me one of Rick Piper's repaints he has in his system. So I will be able to use two different repaints in the same traffic - a real gain!

Hi Jaap,
Looks great! Let me know when it's completed and I'll add it to the AI traffic package.
Thanks,
