Tom, or anybody. Last night Removed my Starliner Folder and Installed Ver 1.1 I had all my 2D cockpit BMP' files added Like views around and outside the cockpit windows. I don't care for the VC view at this time. And I took all the files and Folders and modified the aircraft cfg from the FD upgrade and have the Squeaking Brakes installed. And that is working fine. So I have a Hybrid Ver 1.1 Starliner with 2D cockpit views and Squeaking brakes. Is there anything else I could add from the FD upgrade files that would make my Ver 1.1 fly better? Lane1 ;D

Hi, Tom and all;
At least let me apologize, for the rest of us, for what the hackers have done...this forum is a real delight and all of your work is deeply appreciated. They must be the same kind of beings who will go to a cemetery and push over the stones. It makes no sense.
Either way, thanks for keeping this site active!!!
Best Regards,

Like to ask a question about upgrading my Starliner Ver 1.1? I have upgrade Folder for the upgrade to to ver 1.1a but I don't care for the VC views at this time. Could I just replace the Ver 1.1 with the Ver 1.1a Aircraft.cfg and Airfile.? Would I need to replace the Model File? I have the panel file set up with nice 2D view using my hat switch. I have the conniesnds 2.1 installed and used the Squeaking Brakes mod from the FD upgrade. I don't know why I keep upgrading the Connie. It's not a easy plane to fly. Guess I could just taxie around the Airports. I have got it air born a few times and on autopiot and made a few Landings Thank's Lane1

Hi,
Yes, you should be able to use the new AIR and CFG files with the old MDL file. You might have to adjust the contact points if Manfred changed that, but I doubt he did. You might not be able to use the new panel files, but you'd have to test that. Just make sure you have a backup of the old files in case you want to go back.
Hope this helps,

If you want the VC to show on the side views, remove the FixedWindow entries at the top and bottom of the plane's panel.cfg file.
If you want fixed images instead, copy the required images from the vn20panel package (available from my Panels page) into this plane's PANEL folder. Copy the ones with names listed in the FixedWindow sections at the bottom of the Starliner's panel.cfg file.
Hope this helps,

OK, I've got a slight problem. I believe I've installed both the original and update files, along with the Cal Classic FDE and the Cal Classic reference notepad. Everything works so far as I can tell, and the thing's utterly beautiful. All I need now's the nacelle repaint, and the basics should be covered.
I went to Avsim and got ahold of the Air France repaint, and I installed it, along with making what I believe to be the appropriate changes to the aircraft.cfg file. Yet, it doesn't bother to show up. What the devil could I be doing wrong? I had this happen with a Cathay Pacific 747-400, where I could have one of two aircraft available, despite all efforts. I finally had to clone the thing to fix that problem, and I'm not opposed to doing it here, but something else may be going on.
Reproduced below is the relevant part of aircraft.cfg:

It won't even show up in the pull-down menu, as if the game won't even read beyond the second entry. I'm probably missing something utterly obvious, so if I am, tell me that, too.
