As a tester of Juan's Texas aiports I can tell you, you folks are in for a terrific surprise. This is an awesome scenery pack and it has it all, Commercial airports, private airports and some great military facilities. The only problem Juan has here is keeping it to a managable level. For those of you who are adept at adding your own ai you are going to love this scenery when releaesed. You will have a great base package for all three categoryies and plenty of room to do your own thing.

The new CE61 package will include AI F-104's - I don't know if these are frame rate friendly or not. Hi all, Indeed the CE61 package include some AI-F104's , we did not see any problems with the FPS. Cheers, Harry

Glad to see Reese AFB added. A point, however. Reese did not start training in T-38s until May 1963 with Class 64C. In 1962, it was T-37s and T-33s

Hi Joe, I think that's what he said above the T-38 photo? But thanks for the confirmation.

Thanks Joe!
Yes, that's what I meant on the T-38 image above.
The reason why I included the T-38 is because I haven't found yet a T-33 model to use as AI....Tim Conrad's model is good but is a bit heavy on FPS if I place more than 10 planes on the ramp.
the only plane close enough to the T-33 I have found so far (and works good as AI)...is the F-80...part of a CFS2 pack called "migs over korea", but I thought it may be too old for this scenery timeframe.
But I'm always open to suggestions!......Thanks a lot friends

There are some low sized AI T-33, but with wrong textures (f.i. German Air Force coming with AI package for Landsberg AB). Noel Sivertson also included years ago an AI T-33 ATC in his Military AI package, but with almost normal sized textures. Cheers, Bernard

Hi Juan, just a quick response concerning T-33 AI. I use GA-Traffic 1.0 Release, to be found at AVSIM id.47722. THis littel freeware program is able to convert FS9 planes into AI planes by reducing the textures to smaller size. Try it - you have to play with it in order to have it working in an acceptable way. I do all my AI conversions with this tool and it works. T-33 repaints for USAF/USN variants can be found at all known sources - I have at least 4 or 5 USAF variants. Try it and check what it will do to your fps - my experience is quite good.
Anyway - your Texas sceneries do look beautiful, it is really something - I'll wait impatiently.
Cheers
Kalle

Here's the latest for KEFD, Ellington AFB. Still very, very "alpha" or "beta" and Juan still has to check out and get back to me on. Hopefully I can have this his way soon: Main overview from the southeast. Main HQ area looking towards the 446 Tactical Airlift Wing area. Looking from base HQ area to NASA and Transient ramp. The right stuff! Still looking to see how to best place the parking in this area since it's the transient ramp abutting the NASA ramp area. National Headquarters, Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary. Looking southeast. Closest buildings and hangar are CAP followed by 111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron area, then the large hanger is the 111th Maintenance Squadron area. Past that is the 446th Tactical Airlift Wing HQ and hangar, then NASA, then terminal and Transient ramp area. Far end is the general cargo area seen in the first shot. Also working on eye-candy for the approaches to KHOU. Battleship is a conversion of two CFS2 ships to make the USS Texas, BB-35. The monument itself is a 3D Warehouse conversion. Credits to all original authors: Just as you think you have something done, you find more to add, change, etc. The CAP aircraft for example have red, yellow, and gray versions. We're checking on the right one, but may include all three just for kicks. If we can get the default cub to work, we may use that and not the Mike Stone Aeronca Chief we use now. Testing in general has showed we may have to substitute some aircraft for others just for the FPS count. We were using Mike Stone's C-119 for AI, but it turned one computer into PowerPoint while on another it was fine. The CalClassic MATS paints work fine, so we may just "fast-forward" a little (like the T-38 for the T-33) and do a paint for the C130 instead of the C119. Another option is to have two paint versions for the aircraft - the AI-dedicated C-130, F-86 (ACG), the Mirage IIICJ (Mike Pearson model as a stand-in for the F-102), etc. We would have another, HQ set for the C-119, the Kazunori Ito F-102, and the Mike Stone F-86 just to name a few. We'll see what we can do. Like with the T33, it's a matter of what we can fit that will work on most machines out there. Our hats off to the CE61 team. We're pulling hair out and we're just doing one state, not an entire continent! ;D
