This is horrible news. I had the chance to meet Greg once, and he was as interesting as his planes are. Many, many stories, and he was always focused on how to improve his aircraft.
I'm thankful to have met him and that I still have his models to fly in FS.

Truly sorry to hear of Greg's passing. I was not fortunate enough to meet the man in person but simply reading Tom's description and those of others that did are enough to know that he was one very special guy. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends as I wish this fellow pilot Godspeed on his final flight. His legacy for those of us in the Sim community will be in his great models that he shared with all of us. So long Greg ... you will be missed. I hope that there is a beautiful airport with wonderful airplanes waiting for you.

It is with a heavy heart that I learn of Greg Pepper's passing. His creation of the CV-340 brought countless hours of enjoyment as I flew it in my Caribbean adventures. I will remember to always say a quiet "thank you" every time I fire up those engines in all of my future little adventures. Thanks for the joys you brought to us who love propliners.
Blue skies and unlimited visibility on your voyage. You are missed deeply.

Adding my sympathies, Greg Pepper's name has been stellar since I found The Classics----He will be missed. We know he is in the heavens.

I'm sorry to hear about Greg's passing... Thanks to him, I've spent many hours in front of the screen, feeling as though I was anywhere but there.
My condolences to his family and friends.

This is very sad news. Its horrible to see another great virtual friend pass away. Gregs work was a standard for propliners.
Im very sorry for Gregs family and for you Tom. Greg, I hope is in a much better place now.
Cancer sucks. I have another friend who passed away about 5 weeks ago after a multi-year battle. At the end, I thought it was a blessing for him, but a truly painful thing for those of us who remain and miss them. He left two small children who will miss their dad terribly.
Take care, Eric

Oh no! My condolensces to his family.
Since I joined in this hobby, seeing the name 'Greg Pepper' listed in the description of any aircraft always was a sure sign things were worth a download.
In my mind, Greg Pepper is almost a 'brand' that could be counted on for darn good stuff.
Ahh thats too bad, I hate losing good people....especially to cancer.

Hi all,
I sent Greg's wife the link to this thread, and here is her reply:
Dear Tom,
You have given Greg's family and I the greatest gift ever. I believe in celebrating his life - not grieving his passing and you have given that to us through your web site. I had no idea how many lives he had touched. I will not be able to thank you enough.
Thank you for the greatest comfort through this difficult time-
Laurie Pepper
I replied to her that this thread portrays only a very small part of the lives that Greg has touched over the years.

Thanks for the tip about SOH - I've sent Laurie that link too. Someone even created a tribute video to him - nice.

Many of the aircraft that Greg (and Tom) developed have allowed me to relive my career -- and an era which has all but disappeared. Thanks for making retirement so much fun. Warren
