They look great Gavin. The Twin Pin and Pembroke will be a great addition. I've just finished my first foray into painting (well, changing some serial numbers!) and performing the various steps with bmp's and dxt's. Another new one on me! The Britannia now has three paints, to hopefully reduce the number of the same registration appearing next to each other. Not terribly important I know but when they paint the number two feet high on the tail it's hard to miss! Also in the sim are six or seven Hastings paints, all courtesy of the flyable model, which give a variety of squadrons as well as the Coastal Command livery(s) out of Aldergrove. In testing them I have fallen a little bit (more) in love with the Hastings!

Quick read to see how this is getting on, and I'm glad to see it's still progressing. It's special to me, as a relativbe was the Squadron Boss on 30 Squadron, during the timeframe we're talking about Have the EL Adem and Eastleigh sceneries been posted anywhere? If there are any downloads available for the shelved RAF transport project, I'd love to get them to use? Many thanks in advance Solotk

Have the EL Adem and Eastleigh sceneries been posted anywhere? As specified in one of my posts above, RAF El Adem has been created by two CalClassic members. The scenery has never been released. Regarding Eastleigh and as specified too, it's a very basic scenery with some few default buldings and without any landclass. Therefore I never intended to release it neither. It just was done for fun, as others would say ...

Just a quick note to say that I hope to release this mini package within the next month, designed to work alongside a CalClassic install. The process has been a lot longer than planned but life always gets in the way! A couple of shots: RAF Abingdon And to prove that I've strayed beyond purely Transport Command RAF Scampton Dave

Hi, Haven't had a chance to try it yet but John Young has just released a package of AI Gloster Javelins including flight plans for 33 sqn based in Middleton St. George. library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=187186He also includes repaints for 5 Sqn, 29 Sqn, 64 Sqn and 85 Sqn. So we should be able to populate the world with RAF Javelins relatively easily. Having said that I have zero time to play with this at the moment, even my Twin Pin flight plan work is on hold. Gavin

I also saw the Javelin today at MAIW - The last few AI models that John Young has created have been perfect! In fact, I think it was his Argosy that finally had me start this project. Anyhow, I expect release of 'RAF 1962' in a week or so and therefore have taken down the link to the previous files. They are very out of date now, and will need to be removed to make way for a clean install of the new package. I'll announce on this thread when the package is released. Initially it will be uploaded to my dropbox and I'd really appreciate any comments or improvements that could be made. Until then, I'll put up another few shots A busy RAF Aden RAF Coltishall A busy RAF Lyneham. A Comet climbs away as a Hastings departs A so called 'Shiny-Ship' - the VIP Hastings of RAF Near East Command at Nicosia

This looks a really great project and thanks to all involved, some of those airfields look a little familiar and im glad there being put to good use. Ive moved on to FSX these days and im playing around updating some of my scenery's for that sim but im guessing whatever's released will be fairly easily converted, haven't had to many problems so far, great work and screen-shots, cheers ian

Thanks Ian, your sceneries really are the backbone of the RAF 62 AI world and are a 'must have' set of downloads to go with this pack. I don't have FSX so have no idea what would be required to make the package work with that and later sims but I'm more than willing to have a 'ready for FSX' version if someone is able to help convert the source files or otherwise change them.

Nice! What Shackleton model is that? (I'm assuming a flyable one)

Nice! What Shackleton model is that? (I'm assuming a flyable one) Yes it is the FS2002/FS2004 Phoenix Designs model by Paul Foster Found Here. Unfortunately the bomb bay doors stay open while it is parked on the ground. Gavin

Curiously I installed the same model (Mk. 2), but haven't any bomb bay open.

Hi again Figured out the Shackleton issue - I had installed the "upgraded" config files from Brian Horsey. While I am sure that they improve the experience for actually flying the Shack, the default files are better for ai.
