There is only one version of the Starliner....well only one V2.2 for FS9 and that is for the most part compatible with FSX with a few minor things not equally realizable in the newer version of the simulator.
The Starliner does not make any changes to your overall Simulator. So what ever changes you see are settings in the sim either set by the SIM cfg or by settings in the options dialogues of each sim such as the flying tips you ran into earlier.
The command task bar at the top of the Full Screen window I think can be right clicked and then you should get an option to "auto hide" it. Then it will come back only when you hit the ALT key on the keyboard.
FSX is very memory intensive to begin with, couple that with a complex AC like the Starliner and your PC may run into limits of what it can do without running out of resources.
Try clear day settings, no clouds and so on and reduced visual goodies settings. If that runs smoothly add a few clouds and other visual additions. Gradually working your way towards the limits of your box.

Thanks for all this advice Stefan! I will give a shot, Today earlier I managed to load it in Full Screen mode, no issues. But now tonight ! Impossible...I even heard from another simmer that opening the menu Alt and looking at the MAP would load it in full screen mode (?) I tried that..It didn't help. Even if I manage without downloading weather and default settings, after I load my default in full screen and then call the menu to load the Starliner it's impossible to get rid of the top blue line; And my sim there has a thin line along the sides ( ) Maybe as you say is ressourses and I'm getting/got to my limits...

You do know that to get rid of the menu in FSX full screen mode you hold down the Alt key for a second or two?
Hope this helps,

It got me as well, back when I used FSX, then someone told me how to get rid of the blasted thing, and here I am telling you. To get rid of the blue menu line on top in full screen it does not suffice to simply hit the ALT key, you must press it and keep it pressed for some time ( usually a pair of seconds) until the thing will disappear. Hope it was useful. PS Tom and I answered simultaneously. ;D

Thanks Tom and Ashman! After a few attempts I mange to make it load by Triel and error in Full Screen mode. Taking into consideration that I ran Vista; Maybe the AERO has something to do with it (?) But here I am no computer expert to comment on the mattter. Just did a short flight around my area and everything went AOK

Hi,
If you have video problems with FS9 in Vista, it's often better to run Vista in Classic View. I understood that this was not a problem with FSX, though.
Hope this helps,

;D
Tom Thanks! I am running FSX in Vista 32 SP1
...And yes my settings were not in classic view; (?) Don't know why. I changed it and now it loads in Full Screen; Despite my FPS locked at 40 I get around 26-29.9 FPS which is still very good! And I can hide the menu as instructed before ;D I think this is caused by Denmark Scenery 1.2 which I have installed. The low FPS, I mean. ...Can't help but wonder how all this is going to be when Windows 7 is marketed and how it will affect FS...Had a couple of small glitches though, I turned on the navigation lights and the pointers of the trim wheel began to blinck together with the stand of the taxiing wheel, but after a while of flight it stopped, That is I turned the nav lights off and then on again.
...And I'd like to ask about the wing views? Are they available after one has installed the views of the A321? I get a window that shows the ouside, yes. But no wing/engines until I pan forward, but the wing is too big; Is that correct? Today I tried to install views form another air.cfg in order to get the wing views. I got very big views which blocked almost all the outside, so I erased the lines again.

There is no Notepad in v2.2.
The Status window can be displayed by *right* clicking the icon with the check mark.
Hope this helps,

It was only included in FSAviator's flight dynamics package. I don't know if it will be updated for v2.2 yet. Since a major change between 2.1 and 2.2 is the introduction of engine failures and FSAviator does not want people failing engines with his FD, I'm not sure of the use...

Hi, Andreas Trapp has come up with some very nice panel views from the VC, accessible via the Numpad digits. Examples: To use these, simply paste the following views section into your panel.cfg, replacing the original text. Many thanks, Andreas!

Right along the same lines of what I had posted a while back for someone looking for cockpit views...but with more of a forward shift.
One word of "caution" though is to say that these VC positions are dependent on the general VC eyepoint selected in the aircraft.cfg
There also may be some negative side effects to the exhaust flames position on certain combinations of view point and adjustment in the panel.cfg and the aircraft.cfg
So be sure to make a backup copy of the files before any changes...so you can go back IF you are not 100% sold.

Very nice views, in the forum ( Why does this keep happening to me? ) I Copied the [views] section published here into my panel.cfg after I deleted the original [views] section...And nothing shows as depicted in the pictures here in the forum. I can go outside view by changing my v/c position to see the engines CTRL+Shift+Return or Back For left or right, but nothing like the views shown here. Yes I did make a safe copy of the original.cfg When I use the numpad numbers the view simply changes by going around in the direction I telling it to go 1,4,7 (Left); 9,6,3 (right) But not outside?...Or are these views only available on Fs9; I have FSX. I tried somedays ago to do something like it, but passenger view instead form the panel of another FSX default. The results were not satisfying the engines and wing covered most of the view outside making it uninteresting to use, that's why I didn't publish.
