I want to thank the author of this marvelous plane. We've been flying it a lot, and it is one of my all time favorites. In fact, last night/today we took it non-stop from Johannesburg to Algiers. Can't thank you enough, and keep up the good work!

Hi! I haven't flew the Starliner since version 1.1a, so last night I took the 2.2 on the AF71 flight LFPO-KJFK. As stated on the schedules, it started at 22:00 LT. Now, I don't have taxi lights visible from the cockpit, 2D or VC. It is clearly visible on the outside, but not from the inside. I had to use the Landing Lights as an alternative! Is it my FS9 playing tricks or has anyone else seen this? I haven't seen this mentioned before for the Starliner! So, would appreciate if others could test this! Thanks! Soft Landings!

Ravilamir,
Haven't gone and checked, but you are very likely right because people noticed the same thing on the Super G release. It's a model fault which I have since learned how to remove, after inquiring about it at a developer's forum. If there is another Starliner update, I'll include a revised model. Can you live with it for the time being?
Best, Manfred

Hi Manfred! Thanks for having a look at it! There's no problem! I'm just glad to know that it isn't a fault on my install! ;D The Lufthansa and Air France schedules that I use from 1955-58 started their Transatlantic flights from Europe at night. So that's the majority of my VA flights! Thanks for your very nice models! If you issue an update, that would be nice to see! Soft Landings! P.S. My name is on the signature bellow. I know it is in small letters!

Hi guys a newbie here. I am thrilled about your 1649a release, but I can't get the plane to climb much if anything. I took off with less than 100000 lbs. MAP 58 inches, 2900RPM and yet I am only able to climb maybe 100fpm. (?) any less power and its a controlled descent. At 130000 lbs I can't even get off the runway. What am I doing wrong? yes it is also happening with the 1049G and H. Thanks in advance for any reply: Maurice

Hi,
Try loading the Cessna at SeaTac default flight, switch to the Connie, and take off. Did that fix it?
Hope this helps,

Cowls? I never had that problem. Look at the checklist, all relevant items there. Here's the procedure for the 1049G/H: - Flaps stage 1, trim, cowl flaps. - Full high RPM, full throttle - Gently rotate when aked for, lifts off at about V2 - keep climb flat (but keep climbing) and retract gear immediately. - accelerate to 140 - METO Power (end of green arc in MAP and RPM gauges) - climb (steeply) at 140 kts avove all obstructions - but do not yank the yoke hardly, just keep the IAS needle on 140. - retract flaps and avoid sinking in high MTOW - accelerate to 170 kts in METO power - Climb power (41", 2500 RPM) - keep IAS at 170 That should do it. Make sure you keep the sequence of actions. Gentle movements. Do that a couple of times and it will happen much easier for you. Best regards, Volker
