I am a lurker of this forum, a was such for a while now, and what better opportunity to sign in than this, so I can thank you for the great work done. But better yet, I feel that I have to thank you not only for myself, but on behalf of the still unofficial ( we're working on it) Historical Section of Napulevola as well, an Italian VA I am part of. Some of you that fly on IVAO might have heard of us, seen that ( not so) recently the ( still unofficial) Historical Section decided to fly online from Anchorage to Ushuaia on multiple legs ( once at week as an average, we're getting there. We just finished the 10th leg landing in MMMX), using the Lockheed Constellation under FS9 ( and a pair of them, FSX as well). And in fact, in the name of ( dis)uniformity and the motto: " as long is Constellation all is fair", some of us use the classic FSDZigns L-049, one or two use the Abacus L-749, some other recently began using the FSDZigns upgraded to L-749 e some still, like me and others, have used the Starliner. The only Connie still unused is the poor, mistreated L-1049, that sadly enough has still to receive a noteworthy FS model ( but we can always hope for the future, can we?). In the end, after having clobbered you to sleep with my never-ending ( written) speech, I thank you again for this wonderful Christmas present and, as a punishment for my written logorrhea and until I have something useful to say, shall return to lurk. ;D Best wishes to you all from Italy.

All I can say is "Great Job"! This aircraft will sure make those long over-the-water flights much more enjoyable. Thanks for all the hard work that went into making this one of the all time best aircraft for flight simulation. You guys rock!
Thanks again. Bill

I hate to be first but here we go. Is anybody having a crash to desktop when switching views in FSX? The vc cockpit works just fine until I switch to another view but when switch back the sim locks up and crashes. I tried the novc version but that does it as well, in fact to get the novc version to work I have to load the plane with 2d panel instead of vc. Otherwise it seems to work well even the wipers work! edit Ithink ifixed it. I found no bmps or folders in the novc panel folder. I copied over from panel folder all files except the panel cfg and it does the trick so far.

Thanks for the update guys! Looking forward to trying it out after finals/Christmas vacation is over, as I'll be traveling to visit family and have no computer. Based on the prior versions should be as fantastic as ever! ;D

;D Maarten I got already, yes indeed she's a beaute. Haven't moved any textures yet, waiting to see if anything is wrong and needs fixing along...during this period. I don't know engaging propreverse form v/c doesn't work for me? I've tried but my mouse doesn't change into a clickable spot on the bottoms.Or have any effect on them.
WOW! I'm amazed at the effort and want to thank all the members who have been involved in this proyect and specially those who have had the patients to help me intall it.

The reverse lights in the VC are up on the dash, just below the autopilot. Are you clicking those?

Yes Tom: I did notice the difference in location of the lights between 2D and 3D cockpits and my mouse pointer while it changes into a hand when "on" the lights in 2D view; Doesn't do anything in 3D v/c view, I've tried zooming in and out too to see if it were an issue. I have experienced this before in other addons, the distance doesn't match until I adjust it; But nothing doing here?
I just attempted again loading from default and the same result, the pointer doesn't change therefore the lights are not clickable, for me. I followed standards installation instructions, as I mention below I haven't moved the texture folders yet, that all; I have the two planes with and without v/c, All I have done out of the ordinary is change the sound folder for the R.3350.

Hi Bernardo the reverse lights are not clickable in fsx but you can right click the reverse levers in the vc thats the only way to operate them in fsx rgds Edd

Just finished a flight from Cairo to Beirut, what a great plane!!!! Thanks to all involved for the early Xmas present. Flew in FSX SP1, no problems to report with any of the features although I didn't use reverse on landing, next flight maybe if I have a short field.

;D Now there the explanation, I almost broke my mouse, clicking HARD on it ...Kidding. Talk about REAL!!! Eddie and Tom. What a Christmas gift! Thanks to all that have contributed in making the best addon I know. The r3350 sounds are superb for it, I like the damppened sound from inside the cockpit. Maarten I also appreciate your ding, dang, dong announcement, now all I need is to install my textures ;D Oh! Wow What a plane I never doubted it, since the beggining I knew, despite all my issues installing it; Thanks to those who have helped me. Watch out for falling debris!: www.m2film.dk/fleggaard/index.php?film=2 I hope you don't find it offensive; it's just an add they made here for a border shop. I just made a zero-zero landing. The reversers from v/c work great Eddie, Are they just supposed to say 2%?

Hi Bernardo
once you have right clicked the reverse lever's and the reverse lights come on you can then use your throttle to put map up to 30 ,MAP or more if you want but 30 is what the book says i belive

Hi,
More than 30" or so would be used only in emergencies...

As one of the lucky few that had the pleasure of doing the odd testflight with 2.1 before her release to the public I can only say my hat is off to Manfred and team for the incredible effort these guys have put into making the Starliner even better than it already was in plain old V2.
This is by far the best FS model in my hangar pay or freeware. Thanks a Million guys.
