Someone should post a screenshot showing the original Mike Stone model compared to this updated version by Bjoern, Tom, and Bernie to show how far the F-27/FH-227 has come, yes, It now surely passes the CC quality check, I've seen payware that isn't this good, absolutely awesome job guys, very much appreciated. Here the two versions are: Cheers, Maarten

Bernie's F-27's wings look like they could do with some refining to make them more like the ones on the original in the first shot. Great model though, I've been flying it heaps and making some repaints for it in FS9.

500 years? No way. This project should only take 479 years, 3 months, 5 days... give or take 14 hours.

If you use the Fuel Planner to load/dump fuel before your flight, I have found that this process does not work correctly in my F-27 panel. If you like, you can change a line in the plane's panel.cfg file to fix this. The panel.cfg file is in the Aircraft/f27pnlml folder. Find this line in the VCockpit01 section (near the bottom):
gauge62=dsd_fuel_dump!fuel_dump_transparent, 2,2,5,5
Your last 4 numbers will be different than this.
*Replace* this line with:
gauge62=dsd_fuel_dump!fuel_dump_transparent, 2,2,5,5,.\Gauges\CV_fuel_dump.ini
and save the file. That should fix it.
I have updated the F-27 Base Pack with this change.
Hope this helps,

My next update is almost done. I've added the option to plug up the cut out windows. This is actually intended for cargo operator paints (as long as you paint on a cargo door). Bold pilots can also try to use some older paints with painted-on windows now. One other major thing I did was tinkering with a few gauges here and there. 98% of the clickable stuff in the VC now has appropriate switch sounds courtesy of Daniel Gauthier. I had to throw out Ken's original panel sounds though, as these don't play along with current versions of DSD_Sound_XML. I've generally done quite a bit of gauge and panel work here and there, e.g. a modified starter logic, proper save module configuration, etc... In the process, I've basically reorganized the entire panel. The 2D panel got the boot (does anyone flying in FSX even use it?) and I've thrown most of the XML gauges into a single .cab* to de-clutter the panel folder. Plus there's some minor stuff here and there. P.S: The HPC lever logic in my model broke CTRL+E quickstart (and possibly model reload in-flight). If it's any consolation: Battery/GPU -> Starter Selector -> HPC Lever -> Starter. Ten seconds tops. *I've marked the gauge sources plus their respective authors in a credits file. Is that okay, Tom and Bernie?
