;)I hate to be the one to start winning; I don't mean not to appreciate...O'Contraire! Should the overhead move via a click in front of the window? As depicted in page 2 by Mjahn; I also noticed the buttoms are not clickable? And I can't hear the voices when the flaps are activated? ???I've moved the folders to theire respective locations. I can hear squeaky Brakes... How does one call the speed brakes, main landing gear back up? I keep pressing the4 handle on 2D and 3D panels and nothing happens...Also I've tried the gear command, yet they stay down? She's definitely a beauty!

Screen shot of my first test flight revealed that I only exhaust flames on engines 3 and 4. Never did have any on 1 and 2. Jesse I think I found my problem with 1 & 2. My four throttles on the throttle quadrant were full forward at 100%, but they were out of calibration and engines 1 & 2 were showing only 60 percent, so I did not have full power thus preventing the flames. Have to watch for these little things. FPS was low but that is to be expected sitting on the runway.

It looks like a real feeding frenzy at Avsim, there are already almost 1500 downloads. Thanks Manfred for a great new plane, you've raised the bar again.

I can't remember ever having seen the counter at Avsim going that fast. Manfred, really, she's a winner. ;D I did fly her and she behaves great. I'm in awe when it comes to the cockpit. Ab fab! Cheers, Maarten P.S. Thanks for the credit.

One remark for everybody

Hi all --
First, many thanks for being so patient and faithful to this project. And thanks for the kind words and lovely screenshots.
Do you mean the sunshades? I you look at the ceiling you can see their arms (visible in jeanmaridor's reply, this page, third picture); click on them and they will swivel down. Admittedly, clicking into the window would be a nicer way of activating them.
As for the flaps commands, please check your FS9\Sound\AddonVNCON30 directory. All the voice files should be in there, specifically call_flaps_80.wav. If it isn't you may either be missing that directory or have forgotten to update it with the folder supplied in the zip.
I've just checked, and they are all present on full throttle in my setup. The one thing we changed was to increase the threshold for them to appear. But it is true that their behavior is a bit erratic depending on viewing angle and possibly other factors. So far, no amount of delving into the matter and of asking around has brought us closer to a solution to the problem. Manfred

Hi,
Yeah, flame (and other) effects can be tricky to see, depending on your viewing angle. I've seen many go "missing", only to reappear when I looked from the other side.
Jesse, check your Effects slider (I think there is one?) - make sure it is all the way to the right. Also, there is a slider for Hardware Lights - make sure that's all the way to the right too.
Hope this helps,

Magnificent; the Starliner was not even on my radar when the Project started and now she has become a real favorite and is a true thing of beauty as well. Many Thanks to all involved.

;D Mjab: No, I don't mean the sunshades; They work fine. As for what I meant, nevermind. I simply thought there would be a clickable buttom on the overhead that would bring it down, like in the screenie I'm reffering to?Thereby making the radios and other buttoms active, like the smoke and seatbelt signs? The magnetoes are active though...And this is why I simply thought...
As for the sounds The AddonVCON20 folder I put in FSX sound folder, it containgd the squeaky brakes folder (I hear these) And the sound .wav files beggining with bottom....Ending with voice_V1 voice_V2; Yet I don't hear any of these???

The arrangement of folders in the main FS2004 SOUND folder should be:
FS2004 ....Sound ........AddonVNCON30 ........squeaking brakes
The two folders should sit side by side, not one inside the other one.
Hope this helps,
