Thanks all, hope to get the releases out asap.
VC-shots? This is an external model only, for the time being. In FSX, we can couple it up with the default DC-3 VC, to begin with. Or with the Just Flight VC, if you have it.
Many questions still open as to the FS9 version - complexity, VC, texture resolution issues - but I'll give this more attention once the basic FSX model is done.

Ok, in the SDK is the VC, can you recompile it? to allow sharper textures and perhaps a few more gauges ?

Theoretically, yes. It seems the legal issue I was afraid of doesn't exist, thanks to some legal help received from members of this forum. But I haven't yet tried any of that in practice, and there is many a slip between theory and practice, as we all know. For the same reason I am hedging about FS9 backward compatibility.

Hi, I was going to say that since the default DC-3 VC in FSX is a separate MDL file you don't have to create your own, if you don't want to. But it would be nice, of course, so the FS9 version would get one. But I also understand the pain of converting from FSX to FS9, and thus understand your hedging...

Hi,
I mentioned that to Manfred already, but unless he's using the same texture layout as the default DC-3, you'd have to include another set of matching wing textures for the VC as well. But anyway, this is certainly one of the pro's of the FSX file format - you can just add a VC from another plane.
Best regards, Volker
