Hi, The Solent (actually Sandringham) model we use doesn't have beaching gear so we use the trolleys instead, which are standard library objects. Jesse I am using GMAX for this, but you can also use Sketchup and get the same thing.

Excellent work Tom and Mike. I love all the extra details like the large PANAM shield on top of the PAA hangar, braced with with all the supports. And every building looks very smart with all the lettering and logos placed on them. Fancy fencing to keep out the unauthorized. Really lots of eye candy to keep one busy Awesome ! Jaap

Wow, looks great...Excellent work, to all people involved. Love the huge amount of details on the nearby areas, vehicles, people, maintenance hangars and hotels...that Hilton at KSFO looks awesome, very similar to KATL's Air Host Inn......love those shapes ;D

Hi,
Yes, we noticed the similarity to that Atlanta hotel as well. We don't know if there was a connection, though.
Thanks,

BTW, will the next CA59/62 Update have parkings in the KOAK Afcad for NAS Oakland?

Hi,
I wasn't planning on it, but since it closed in 1961 I could add a few military parking spots to the 1959 version if that would help? By 1962 that area was being used as the SFO Airlines helicopter maintenance base.

Thanks Tom. It might be useful for those who wants to add some Navy planes there.
Anyway I did a separate Afcad for a small P2V Neptune traffic using RWY 15/33.

Hi,
OK, will do.
I do have a picture of a Neptune at OAK in 1954, but nothing more recent. It was only a reserve base after the 1940's, with a few reserve squadrons stationed there. They did have a blimp there until 1958. In our era I have pictures of an F2H Banshee, C-54's (DC-4's), HSS-1 (Sikorsky S-58), Piasecki HUP-2, and S2F Trackers. The Blimp parked north of the barracks.

Has there been a release date chosen to download the updated ca59-62 files?

Indeed there are, thanks. Perhaps I'll have to add a few to my traffic. Jesse, probably another month or two. That said, I would be happy to post an "early version" for those that want to try out the airports finished so far. To get the new ramp equipment and oil spots you would also have to download a new version of the Classic Libraries file (190 MB). Let me know.

I've added a small Navy presence to the 1959 KOAK: Enjoy,
