Thanks... and yes, I have taken that flight more than a hundred times over the past 20 years connecting Europe and South America, and my family and work locations... Everything has an explanation. Meanwhile the list of classic ships to do is increasing while I dig up drawings... Next will be the hydrofoil ferry which started to connect Buenos Aires with Montevideo in 1962. www.histarmar.com.ar/BuquesMercantes/ARMADORES/Armadores-Alimar-Belt.htm

Some of the are pretty amazing. I have quite the collection of AI ships made usable just to enjoy them and the scenery.

Some of the are pretty amazing. I have quite the collection of AI ships made usable just to enjoy them and the scenery. Your collection can soon grow again... Lircay ex Mette Skou built in 1957 - 8 repaints are ready of the serie of sisterships from the early sixties. Below Inger Skou - built a few years later and slightly longer. Flecha de Buenos Aires built 1962 - work in progress - also this one will come with several variants and repaints

The Flecha de Buenos Aires had her maiden voyage in the sim today: and so did Lydia... and a lot of others….

Even if the new sim is taking a lot of time, the Classic project continues... Ecuadorian Reefer is from the early 60'ies - the tug Jakob was built in the US and participated in the D-day - today you can go on harbor tours with her in Aarhus, Denmark

Ecuadorian Reefer sounds like a variety one might pick up at a local smoke shop...

I must say as an fs9 user I am very jealous. These models are beautiful. I never created an ai ship path before. So after reading this thread, an ocean liner from the UK to New York is not possible in fs9?

Possible, but a pain. You have to create an "airport" at each end (which can be used to "taxi" the ship out of the harbor) and have the AI ship run between them. If it cannot be in a straight line, then you have to create intermediate "stops".
